Check out Michaels(as mentioned) for the Lemax brand. They sell individual or packaged skeletons doing different things. Snag a coupon and save even more money. I believe that Menards also carries this brand. Chris

A man has got to know his limitations
crispy replied to DRG's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
How can you improve if you don't take the next step? It is the only way you'll get better. I do this with every new kit I build. Try something new until I get it right. The kit looks better and I get better. I still build for me, but in order to become better you have to challenge yourself, which to me, is part of the fun. Chris -
Chuck great work with the parts box! Looks fantastic! Chris

Len, If I'm not mistaken there was one or two Corvette's built for some Iraq/Afghanistan veterans. They put the stripes on them and called them Hero stripes. This is off the top of my head and may not be totally correct, but pretty sure it's at least related somehow. Chris

Superb stuff Bob! Ocean Blue also has my vote. As you well know I'm really not into red on anything as I know you are. All the same, I love the interior too. Smooth. Chris

I think there would be much work involved for the GT2 car, but would think the Builders kit from Scale Motorsport would probably help with some pieces. Here's the Carbon Len: Chris

Thanks Terry! I might be able to pick one up tomorrow at the RPP Hobby Shop about an hour away. Hitting a car show near there so it's a 2 fer 1 for me! LOL Chris

Tamiya's Aston Martin Fujimi's F430 Challenge car Both are close to being done. Still some small paint and assembly things. Then off to work. Chris

Terry can you take pictures of the it innards? Kind of a shame they went ahead without carbon fiber for the casual modeler. I have plenty of CF on hand that it shouldn't be problem here either. Looking forward to this kit as well. Chris

Very clean! Those wheels really make it look sportier to me. Well done! Chris

Check out our club's new Go-Daddy Website
crispy replied to Len Woodruff's topic in Model Club News and Announcements
I agree with the others Len. It's clean, easy to navigate and you have everything categorized on top. I like the calendar idea right on the homepage. That gives you in the face items right now instead of having to navigate through and look for what is upcoming. Very nice. Chris -
Got my July issue yesterday..

Mine arrived on Thursday here in MN. Chris -
Beautiful Cesar! Beautiful! I really like the car as a whole. Everything ties together well. Chris

Jared, I like that! Makes me want to do mine that way. It's clean and subtle. If I were to suggest anything, maybe see if you can get the front lower. I think most of these kits sit pretty high out of the box anyway. Nice work. Chris

emodels? Anyone on there?
crispy replied to DrewCfromSC's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Drew, no one sees your information unless you buy or sell something. I've been on there since 2007 and have had no problems whatsoever. Chris -
emodels? Anyone on there?
crispy replied to DrewCfromSC's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I've had great luck with emodelcars.com. I used to do a monthly update here on the site about number of auctions being run, amount of people registered but it never got much for views or looks. Sure, it's not ebay, but it is free and it is directed towards the modeler. Listing is free unless you want premium additions and then those aren't very much either. At one point the site had well into 300 items. How can anybody buy anything if you don't list it? It's free, try it out. I've sold well over 100 items on there myself. The only thing is, you have to start out the kit at what you want out of it. Add buy it now on your auction as well. It's pretty versatile site. IF you need help with anything there let me know. Picked up another one for my exotic car collection: Strangely enough this kit was double wrapped, which made me suspicious. I opened the kit and the original seal was still on, so that was nice. Opened the kit anyway and the body on it was really warped. Going to try a few methods of saving it. One of the many pitfalls of OOP sealed kits. Chris

I seriously can't believe that Bob chose a red over the other colors. Hang on a sec............ O.K. I would go with the Blu Nart myself. It's a pretty color and other colors will accent well with it. Sheesh, red.... Chris
