  1. Nice job Ross! What color/brand of paint did you use? If I might make one suggestion for your future builds. On the headlight lens if you run a sharpie on the outer edge of them that will give them a better look, as most of the real cars have a rubber gasket in black around the lens to seal. It will look more realistic. Just a suggestion for the next kit you get to. I really like the car, nice clean work. Chris
  2. That's big for sure! Reminded me of this Kenworth I took a few pics of at the International lot: Chris
  3. I've done it, but boy howdy, do you have to be patient. When they say light coats, go even lighter. Take your time in spraying them letting the previous coat flash off. It's time consuming, but works. Here's my Challenger with Slixx decals covered with TS-13: Chris
  4. That's o.k.. It was red anyway......
  5. Nice Bob! Very nice. If you were wondering about the color on my SL63 interior I used Tamiya's TS-33 Dull red over white primer. Look forward to seeing this. Chris
  6. Here are a few pics of the weekly roll in with more at the link: Find the rest of the PICTURES HERE Chris
  7. Tom, That's stunning. It makes me feel like I need to wear a tuxedo and Tag Heuer. Nicely done, as usual. Chirs
  8. Nice job! I love the colors and it looks like a natural in this configuration. Chris
  9. I concur with Dan.That is probably the best one on the market now. I've had mine for 5 years now. Works beautifully. Chris
  10. Very nice Bob! I did my pre over at HWJ and haven't seen it come into stock yet. I hope by weeks end. All the same you'll have yours built while I wait.... You're going to get tired of seeing all the Aston's! LOL Chris
  11. Very nice! Chris
  12. Nice work Tim. Like that mesh, very realistic looking. Love the colors too. Chris
  13. Scarily enough I lived in Deland in 90/91. At that time though my hobby was the girls......... Chris
  14. Hey guys, Thanks for your insight on the kit and molding process. I have no clue how these kits get molded. I will agree that it appears to be an easy straightforward "problem" to fix. As you guys mention it seems the easiest solution to the dilemma at the time. Easy. Andy, Look forward to seeing yours. I suspect it will be built and two models down before I get mine!! Chris
  15. Do i see a prominent mold line on the body? That's sort of out of character for Tamiya. 'Tis no matter though, I'll have fun cleaning it up anyway.... Thanks for the great parts breakdown.Best ones I've seen., Chris
  16. A great time to be an exotic's builder. Such great things coming out. Nice price Bob. I'm starting to see all the Japanese sellers are really fighting with prices. Time to shop around for the deals again. HW Japan used to be my cheapest source, but everyone seems to be jockeying pricing. Chris
  17. For some reason I had a feeling you might! Chris
  18. Super paint! I've never really fell for the 350, but the 370 looks so much sleeker and better. Nice job on your 350! Chris
  19. Luc, Don't feel bad, I too am waiting for HW Japan to get my order sent out. I'm sure you read that the US got the kit before our Japanese friends did? All the same, to me this kit is surely worth waiting for. I'm ready with my paint. I might have to purchase another kit though. I see one in my future which is black, the car,not my future! Chris
  20. Look forward to seeing it complete! Hey, Look! Nice front tires! LOL That really makes it look a lot better. Chris
  21. Curt, you just amaze me with each build. Nice subjects, built cleanly and expeditiously. I don't know how you do it. I heard about the elves, but I understand that if you don't pay them enough or pay for their health insurance they get real lazy real fast..... Keep them coming Curt. Looking great! Chris
  22. Not in my experience Richard. HLJ and HWJ as well as Hobby Search are about the best places to get the wheels. Thing with Aoshima wheels is you have to order them the minute you see them as they sell out pretty quickly. Chris
  23. Easy, BOTH! Chris
  24. That has chick magnet all over it! Sweet build. Chris
