Miniature bicycle/motorcycle chain
crispy replied to sjordan2's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Not sure if the picture will show up, but a friend of mine built the Honda 1/12 scale using photo etched chain. It looks very realistic and it worked. Pardon me for the over sized picture, but you can see it better this way. Or go HERE Chris -
Curt, another fantastic build. Glad to hear it fit well. I have this in my stash, but not sure if I am ready to build it just yet. I have the Scalefinishes paint too. Again, I really like how this turned out. Love the car myself. Thought it was a beautiful design. Chris

Just for the record. I posted the info to let everyone know that these were making their way out to subscribers. I in no way intended this to be a bash about it being late, or whatever else. Just that these were getting into our hands now. As I mentioned before, I don't care when I get it, as long as I do. If I get another one next week, fine by me. In the end as long as I get what I pay for I am a happy camper. Great work Gregg, Harry and all others involved. I just finished Tim Boyd's NNL story. I enjoyed it. I'll stick my two cents in though, more foreign/exotic please! LOL Chris -
I used good old Tamiya sprays for my build. TS-14 and TS-46 (black and light sand respectively). As you build and check out episodes be aware of the pilot show having a totally different car versus the rest of the seasons. I built mine as the pilot show car. While it's close to finished I have a few things I need to get done on it, namely BMF. Anyway, if you are only able to get paint at HL then I would think Model Master Classic Black would work well. Here's a shot of my build from five years ago. Chris

Only if you send me some South Florida weather. The high today hit 37 and the low will be 20 something. Now I see why they call you crazy Jim! Chris -

While one hasn't been done, (shameful, I know) there is a very nice 1/24 slot car out. The best thing you could do if you needed this in your collection is to pick that up. I too would love to see this as well as other super cars come out. The attention getter would be Ferrari. Almost all new vehicles they build, a model manufacture is there, willing to create it in 1/24 scale. Look at how long it took to get a new modern Aston Martin and Mercedes. I will say this, if a model company could step out and do just one new super-car, it would have to be the McLaren F1 to which all super-cars to this day are measured against. Leaving this out in scale is just mind boggling to me. I would even rate this over the Bugatti, which was also measured against the McLaren. I have a nice list of modern era super cars I would love to see done, but I suspect, licensing and what not hold these items up. Chris

I have the dreaded feeling that this may have been my last car event for the 2010 season. However, this would be the best show to close with. I've grown to say that C&C is in my top three favorite events for the year. The morning was very brisk, but the turnout was very high. Shadowing on the cars was hard to deal with. Here are a few pictures with, of course, more at my link. Chris 1 of 2 Yellow Audi R8's, 1 in Dubai and this one here in MN. (so says the owner) This Lusso's first outing to the show. IT was absolutely gorgeous. Listening to the owner was a treat as well. He was complaining of lack of power. Said he was going to fix that. LOL R8 convertible. Brand new too. These are very stunning and well thought out as far as design of the top and interior in my opinion. I absolutely loved this AMG Benz. Very nice. Now I know what I am going to do with my Fujimi Enthusiast kit: Rolls Royce Phantom. What an astounding piece of work. This Charger was killer: Possibility of another C & C event in November if the weather holds. I suspect it would be sparse, but nonetheless I"ll be there if it happens. More at MY FOTKI Chris
