  1. There is an easy fix for that, AMT's '68-'71 B-Body chassis' fits nicely under it and is way, way better than stock!
  2. That would have been usefull the past several days.....dang allergies and spray painting
  3. My least favorite.....or atleast the one that made me feel like I was ripped off (I knew what I was getting into with the old AMT/MPC kits) was that new, diecast based '70 Challenger R/T-T/A kit that used a Metal front axle (on a modern model ) and the option of building a 440 RB motor or 340 LA motor from the same block
  4. Wish I could, off the vehicles we've owned over the years, the only ones possible are my Sister's Charger (if I were to steal the engine from a Prowler), Mom's old F/S van (and even then, the grill and interior would be wrong and need work), and The Grand Cherokee I had for about 6 months (which was a Larado with cloth interior and directional 5 spoke wheels....), everything else would require major scratchbuilding. Guess I could build Dad's F-150 company truck.........not sure if he would want a model of that useless thing though..................
  5. I've got one of the early fire vans with the choice of panels or windows, the motor home would be pretty cool too though!
  6. Depending on what shape that G-Van body is in Dan, might not be a bad idea to retool the body shell with the opening hood and maybe even do the body so we can cut out the paneled areas and replace them with a section opened for windows.
  7. Oh wow, I thought that car was destroyed!
  8. We've carried these in the past for model planes and could work for at least trunk hinges. http://beta.horizonhobby.com/products/hidden-hinge-6--SOT130
  9. Thanks Dave, I nearly drooled on my smart phone........... LOL!
  10. I've heard of some HO scale hinges that are about right for...lets say....Revell/Monogram 1/24 CJ7 if one were wanting to put working hinges on the doors, tailgate, hood, and I think windshields.
  11. It should be in the shops today, we got two of them in today along with the Jungle Jim Vega and a '56 Nomad.
  12. Don't see why not, Proline Racing just recently brought out a '71 Javelin "like" body for 1/10 scale r/c Touring Cars that are raced in thr "Vintage Trans Am" or "VTA" classes.
  13. IIRC, it should be possible to make a Fall Guy truck from it, you will need to lift it, put the Aoshima big tires on it, depending on which truck you're building it may need to be streched, and you will have to scratch build the pushbar and convert it over to the rectangular headlights the early Fall Guy trucks had.
  14. I wouldn't mind seeing most of that series make a comeback Chuck, only in bare plastic. Those were a neat line of cars, even if they had no interiors.
  15. That might still sell nicely though, I've had people come into the HTU I work for looking for Enzo's that would be more appropriate for kids from late child hood to mid teens, plus to dig up another discussion, I've also had more customers come in looking Chevy Tahoe's, Ford Taurus' (not the current one, pre Ford Five Hundred generation ), ect over the '57 Ford's or even the mid 70's Olds.
  16. Must have missed those Pegasus wheels over the weekend, I'd diggin' all three of them!
  17. Sign me up for an Airflow too! I forgot how good that Airflow Harry posted looked!
  18. Looks good, is that the Lindberg truck?
  19. Those maybe molded in that color, I think the were offered in different colors on some of the kits.
  20. Funny you bring this up, the last time I had my head under the hood of the now long dead TBI injected 1/1 '87 my folks had, there wasn't much more engine bay detail there than that the 1/25 AMT vans had! Last one I built I just glued the doghouse shut and I'm still kinda bummed that they never tooled up the correct '78 and up dash and doghouse for the A-Team van............ .
  21. Ah, I forgot Hughie Hogg was involved in that episode.
  22. I think it was one of the later shows, don't know the particulars, but if memory serves me they were chasing down some theiving hotties in early CJ's with cheap paint jobs and there was a problem with "Dixie" and jacking up the General was their only choice to go and chase them down. Oddly enough, Jeeps and trucks like the Power Wagon were among the few vehicles that would go more places than Dad's Fury did in his early days with the railroad!
  23. I remember that one too, I'd bet they threw airshocks on the back, cranked down the torsion bars, then put taller tires on it. Don't laugh though, Dad actually had that setup on a '62 Fury with a good Sure-Grip and some taller light truck tires, he said it would go quite a few places that a lot of trucks wouldn't go!
  24. Nope, it was ment to be a nice, semi period small block roadster. Not positive, but the Milner Deuce may have been some of the insperation for the car too.
