Great minds think alike. That was my plan all along. ?? -
True dat. The term "wild pigs" covers a lot of two-legged homo sapien critters! ??

Mark's suggestion would certainly work. It would give you all the right contours. ?? -
After all this time, they probably all qualify as Old Spice. ??

Fred, welcome back! Glad to see you here. I'll add my voice to the choir: as has been said, your products, your builds, your forum, all were great contributions to the hobby and have been sorely missed. Glad things are turning around for you (after your hard work); Godspeed. Stay with us, friend. ?? -

GSL Common Kit: [revision] just another Model A Roadster

A final note. I agree with Sam. The wheels are definitely not Model A. Likely '32 - '34 or later. It was a common change back in the day. ?? -

I just occurred to me: You know, we're talking about Kurt here. What are we worried about? He can sculpt a convincing '31 cab out of a bar of Ivory soap fer gudnez sake! ?? -
GSL Common Kit: [revision] just another Model A Roadster
Danno replied to 89AKurt's topic in WIP: Model Cars
The '28-'29 cab is way off. While the '34 cab is close, the A cab has a pronounced rounded back panel (which you can see in Kurt's pictures) and the roof is shaped differently, the cowl and firewall are entirely different, and of course, the relief sculptures (below windows and across back panel) are different. 1929 Model A cab (red primer) 1930 Model A cab (patina) 1934 cab (rust) Just trying to help. As the owner of a 1930, I know these cabs well. ?? -
GSL Common Kit: [revision] just another Model A Roadster
Danno replied to 89AKurt's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Actually, the '29 Roadster Pickup kit has a 1928-1929 square cab. The Russell Stover vehicle Kurt has selected is actually a 1931 with the standard rounded corner cab. None of the Model A kits have replicated the round-cornered standard cab. The 1934 cab Tom suggested is closer to the configuration of the Russell Stover's standard cab, but there are significant differences in every panel, especially the fact that the '34 cab's rear panel drops straight down and is more square in configuration than the '30-'31 cab, which is curved forward. The roof's different, the visor is different, etc. While the '34 cab would be a little closer to the Russell Stover vehicle than the '29 square cab, I'm not sure Kurt would be happy with "close" (he's a perfectionist, you know). The problem is, none of the Big Plastic manufacturers ever kitted the correct cab. A couple of resin casters have (All American, maybe RMCoM, maybe even R&R), but most of those are out of production. I just checked, and Jimmy Flintstone doesn't do one. ☹️ ?? -
Well, some of you guys are already way ahead of me (especially you, Scott!!), but that's okay . . . I have 332 days to go. But, I made great progress today (for me)! I grokked. In depth analysis indicates I apparently have a little chassis-stretching to do. Okay, that's enough for today. I'm tired already. PS: Don't be distressed by the color mismatch between cab and bed. The maroon truck was the intended vehicle (Sorry about that! -- Puns R Us.), but lo and behold when I popped open the box, the cab was AWOL. Weird. So, I robbed the cab from another kit. Onward! ??

eBay owned Paypal for several years, until 2015. They spun it off as a stand-alone. eBay and PayPal continued a contractual agreement that expired at the end of 2020, ending PayPal's primary position as a payment tool with eBay. It is now a third-tier option, but eBay is developing its own, new system. According to Wikipedia, PayPal will remain a payment option for shoppers on eBay, but it won't be prominently featured ahead of debit and credit card options as it is today. PayPal will cease to process card payments for eBay at that time [2020]." The company [eBay] will "instead begin working with Amsterdam-based Adyen". BTW, PayPal just recently issued a new User's Agreement. I'll bet virtually none of us (myself included) read it. ??

Whoa. Holy cowpatty, Curt! Don't you ever sleep? That's quite a fleet! Beautiful builds, all. I especially like . . . aw, carp! I tried to pick out 2 or 3 favorites but the list ended up looking like: ALL OF THEM ! Question: At this point, are you sure you haven't built more Curtis Turner race cars than he ever actually drove? My gosh, I had no idea he ran so many different cars/sponsors/colors! Your CT projects over the years have never failed to impress. Hope you are well, my friend, and continue to be so! Best to you and yours. -danno-

Welcome, JD! Good to have you on board. Super nice sprinter, there. On a side note, if Kurt thinks he lives about a half-hour from you, then I guess I'm only 15 minutes! (I truly live about half-way between Mesa and Prescott.) I think Kurt's lost it! ??

Nice stuff, David. Especially Luftwagen. ??
