  1. You are correct but CSX 3004 has the long tube bar. Its the 427 version.
  2. The kit comes with the short rollbar, it looks like you can turn it 180* and extend the diagonal tube to get the long bar version. I might try that option on my next build.
  3. Revell kit, engine wired and plumbed. Scratch built throttle linkage, wind screen and fire bottle. Added seat belts. Refinished in Plasticoat touch up paint. DuPont urethane clear coat.
  4. I've used cuticle clippers on the old Gunze kits before with great results . Google images of the clippers .They should fit your needs.
  5. It looks to be a light zinc chromate, Generally used over raw aluminium.

  7. Throw that stuff away as far as you can! You don't want that stuff anywhere near your hobby bench It will cause you years of grief and problems
  8. Looks great John, that brings back some memories.When I worked at Ray Swenson Lincoln Mercury back in 1973 one of first jobs was to repair a crashed 56 4dr Montclair. Talk about some heavy iron! Great job
  9. Try the 3M blue fine line tape, wrap it around the duct hiding the seam on the bottom, its the right color and thickness, I've used this method alot and it looks "right".

  12. I used hypo needle tubing cut to length and glued into drilled hoes. Pain in the arse but not as much as a vaccination

    1956 Nomad

    Revell kit. Minimal wiring and plumbing, painted in RM lacquers with a DuPont urethane clear coat.
  14. The stripe and rear badges were omitted, everything else was TA equipped. The entire body was re-scribed and block sanded, primed with Vari-prime and sealed with DuPont velva-seal, re-finished in a wild grape pearl BASF lacquer with DuPont urethane clear coat, interior was done with Mar-hyde vinyl paints. Engine bay was plumbed and wired, sacratch built a battery and cables, fuel and brake lines, carb. lines and linkages. Air filter was cut apart and detailed with small gauge screen, used photo etched hood pin set.
  15. Engine wired and plumbed. Refinished in BASF lacquer, DuPont urethane clear coat.
