  1. Nice little roadster duo you got going there !
  2. Yes, Elvin. I will also be taking it to Spartanburg in January
  3. Good score. That Stacy David firewall is a nice piece! I need one of those.
  4. Great job! You nailed the Rolling Bones style!
  5. This is such a cool build. I love that grungy Y block. Nice work!
  6. Great build, however to replicate the real car it needs to have severe body damage.
  7. Will you be in Atlanta Saturday with this killer build? If so, let's chat!
  8. I'm gonna steal that trick when I get around to building my 30 coupe. I made the mistake of only buying one kit and now its like the Holy Grail of kits.
  9. I did the same wheel arch trick with the 29 I'm working on. Yours came out great! I especially like the half round bead around the wheel arch. I may have to steal that!
  10. Very cool build! Looking forward to your progress
  11. I love this idea for a community build
  12. Nice clean build but those wheels and tires throw it off for me.
  13. That's why they look so good! nice work!
  14. I would agree, zoomie style headers would work with the Ardun. Another option is bending up some gasser style headers that snake up and dump down over the rails. But in my mind Ardun and gasser are two different styles, but it is a rat, so whatever looks cool will work. Also: Those wire wheels are nice. Which kit are they from?
  15. That's a gnarly little rat!
  16. Love it!
  17. Thanks guys
  18. Hey guys, I just finished this 39 Ford (I used a 40) that Banjo Matthews ran at McCormick field here in Asheville. My dad remembers watching Banjo win 16 straight races at the ball field, racing against legends such as Ned Jarrett, Ralph Earnhardt and Dickie Plemmons. I used a Revell 40 Ford Standard coupe with parts from the Revell 37 Ford pickup and 37 coupe. Wheels and tires are from Ron Coon Resins, and the decals were purchased on eBay. I scratch built the roll cage, radiator, headers, seat frame and bumpers. The cowl was reworked to match the 37 hood and the firewall was reworked to replicate a 39 (with the battery located on the passenger side). Paint is Tamiya rattle can and Testors lacquer clear. Black pastels were used for mild weathering.
  19. I'm curious how the clutch and throttle linkages work with the engine behind the driver. I'm assuming they only have 1 gear since a push start is required to get them up to speed.
  20. Woah. This is outstanding! LOVE IT.
  21. Love this!
  22. Awesome tutorial! thanks for sharing
  23. Yes, the 3, 2 barrel set up was what I was referring to.
