Fenton style flathead headers

wow Casey, those are what I'm looking for. Thanks. got a spare set? LOL -
Does anyone know of a kit or aftermarket supplier of Fenton style flathead V8 headers? they are bent on the drivers side to make room for the cross steer gear box. I can make my own, but was curious if they are available.

wow, Thanks Cliff

On a positive note, you discovered a great way to weather decals! That would look great on a beater or old barn find.
-
Thanks! I used coffee stir sticks glued to a sheet of styrene then weathered with black craft acrylic wash and black pastels.
-
I will also add that the Revell 29, 30 & 31 kits and the AMT Mod Rod kits make this type of build very accessible out of the box. I think my next build in this style will use the Revell 29 Pickup running gear and an AMT 25 T model body.
-
Thanks Tom. I think generally speaking, this type of build is on the rise in the 1:1 world, so we will see more scale versions as they are covered in magazines and such.

Thanks Delton. The Revell 37 truck wheels are good, but part of the hubcap is molded in and there is no bolt detail. So they don't really work without the chrome caps. The AMT 36 are better detailed but not perfect. However, I found the right wheels at Ron Coon Resins http://roncoon.com/ The casting is super clean and very well detailed. I will be using Ron's wheels with the 37 truck tires

Thanks Allen. The wood bed is made from coffee stir sticks and weathered with acrylic black wash and pastels.

Looks awesome!! The photo looks like he shortened the body. Or is that my eyes playing trick on me?
-
Thanks Mike!

Anymore gasser goodies to make it worth the purchase?

I'm not an expert, but I would say to fab a new, simplified front clip. Truck frame rails were also used.

Thanks, I used wood coffee stir sticks glued to a thin sheet of styrene then painted with a wash of black craft acrylic. I also used black pastel powders in the darker areas.
