  1. Tried a couple of things different. Scratch built a chiller valve, installed in the upper hose, used for cooling down cars between class eliminations. Made it from a front stabilizer bar. Also, built a shift lite, installed on dash. Some guys use these in lieu of a tachometer. Last thing was a head rest, installed under the top of the roll bar on driver’s side, of course. Also, perhaps most importantly, discovered something that may help with installing bare metal foil. Initial tests are promising. More on that next time.
  2. Thanks, Bob.
  3. Thank you, sir. Your comments are always encouraging and appreciated.
  4. Thanks for the kind words.
  5. Made the subframe connectors flush with frame as most current cars are. “Welded on” with old Testors tube cement.
  6. Eeny, meeny, Miny, . Got some more bodies painted. Leaning towards the black one for this build.
  7. Some body work and sub frame connectors modifications.
  8. Thanks, maybe on the next build.
  9. Thank you, Chris.
  10. More chassis pics and the Ramchargers kit used.
  11. Thanks, guys, much appreciated.
  12. Bad chest cold delayed me a few weeks on this one, but doing better now and back at it. Airbrushed Testors gold on the chassis. Thought about adding Caltracs, but changed my mind. Questions and comments (good and bad) always invited.
  13. Lindberg Ramchargers kit with 6 point bar, shifter, etc. Details in wip thread.
  14. I like it. Work with what you have and make lemonade. Might want to stick a driveshaft in it.
  15. I like it. Nice, easy, simple, FUN rendition of early years stockers. Don’t forget the top radiator hose.
  16. Another simple, but effective, method on this model T frame with a “homemade” roadster 1931 Ford A/SR that I am building a replica of.
  17. The original mounting for the early Oldsmobile and perhaps some other engines used this bracket that was mounted to the front of the engine and a rubber biscuit that was attached to the oem crossmember with 2 studs. Just another mounting possibility.
  18. 91 isopropyl alcohol soak overnight and light scrub with tooth brush has worked great for me for the past couple of years. Did you soak it overnight?
  19. I like it. $4.58 on Amazon & HomeDepot. You can order 1 on homedepot with free shipping.

  20. Because of some bmf issues, decided to try out the Dspaie chrome marker for all the trim work. Had less than stellar results (not the pen’s fault, but my shaky hands). Time to move on to #3 AA/SA. Will post some more pics in the finished section later.
  21. Shifter and gauges installed. Tried out coated tweezers on distributor cap install.
