  1. Definitely going into the wild with this build!!! That's a whole lot of resin, love the sled and the pups, looking good so far!!!! -RRR
  2. Built from resin '27 turtledeck T bodies...bring on the styrene!!!! -RRR
  3. Thanks fore the additional pix Dusty, I gotta make it out to Speed Week one of these years... -RRR
  4. Thanks, KK, but those tires are way too tall for this project. I cut off the back section of the body, made a slightly narrower replacement piece out of evergreen stock, I like the mod, makes the body a tad less trapezoidal shaped...more streamlined, subtle, I know... I will be mounting the bed to the back of the cab and without the stamping detail it will make a cleaner mount... -RRR
  5. I realized that if I want to get this thing sitting low, I'd need to make some changes to the front suspension. I grabbed the axle/spring assembly from the Slingster dragster kit, z'd the frame and fabbed up a suicide perch....much better....next up, channeling the body over the frame and a subtle body mod...stay tuned... -RRR
  6. I've been building since the mid 80's, don't think I've ever seen this on any of my builds...first time for everything I know.... -RRR
  7. They pop up on eBay from time to time. I have purchased several of those parts packs, they don't generally go for too much $$$... -RRR
  8. Should I be worried about that? I've never had that happen before... -RRR
  9. Awesome kleen build!!! -RRR
  10. The fronts are from an olde Revell Parts pack. They are a bit wider than the ones found in the Miss Deal. I've never seen them in any other kit... -RRR
  11. Yes, these RMCM wires definitely fit the pic and I did consider using them, but a seriously dropped front axle would be needed to get the car close to the earth. Besides they're not chrome and I have a pile of the Revell wires, I don't think I've ever used them before... -RRR
  12. I got inspired by this Thom Taylor drawing KK sent me and decided it would make a good jumping off point for a roadster pickup build. So I started gathering parts. The body is from the recently reissued Monogram Blue Bandito kit. The wire wheels are from the Revell '32 sedan...(I know some of you purists (ADL) will howl about the big radial rear meats but I kinda like 'em)...other bits and pieces from here and there (many from the Revell Model A kits). The pickup bed will be scratched together. I'm waiting for the 3D printed Frenzel blower I acquired to arrive... -RRR
  13. Thanks again, y'all...I'm blushing!!! -RRR
  14. That's the way to do it! -RRR
  15. Not to hijack ADL's fine thread, but here is a tutorial on how make those rear wheels: http://public.fotki.com/jferren/tall-rear-tire-with/ -RRR
  16. Well played, sir! -RRR
  17. KK & RRR got to spend some quality time at the Woodstock shop this weekend (four days, three nights) and got some serious cutting done. We spent an enjoyable day at the Southern NNL yesterday. Ran into several Florida folks I know and made some new friends. The Slincoln Coupe will be shipped to the Hollywood shop for finishing... -RR
  18. Thanks for your kind words, Alan. I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do with the grille shell yet, still cogitating on a few options... -RRR
