  1. That is crazy beautiful. Love the checkerboard carbon-fiber, did he say that was an option? But much like the current F1 cars, that would be a nightmare to build a model of.
  2. Really like what you have done for the Forged Carbon-fiber. The Setso Elemento has much more of that, will keep this in mind. Yes, show the sponge, I would think natural sponges have a more open and random matrix, compared to a synthetic one?
  3. Nice job on the bubblegum machine, and siren. You turn those on a lathe?
  4. I was thinking that too, maybe they are solid tires? Looks like a cool subject, wish you well on completing!
  5. McPherson while surfing
  6. A subject I would like to build, but come on, not a cartoon! They have some interesting subjects, too bad they are not realistic. If I'm going to spend precious time, it's gonna be accurate. Hobby Search is the source.
  7. For Ford Galaxy and VW Beetle fans, go to Netflix to watch 'Roma', it was awarded best cinematography for a reason. I was amused at some scenes that showed how huge those were, but I know you Ford enthusiasts will cringe seeing the Coupe .... well I won't wreck it for you.
  8. Huh, I've been thinking of a name for my "new" '68 Chevy pickup. That's how I've been making some repairs on my '68. If I can scrounge the parts, and do it for free, and it does the job, then heck ya! To stop the hood from trampolining while driving, I made this hood brace. Yea I could get a genuine GM part that was used on the later trucks, but this will do. KLUGE First parts by Kurt Womack, on Flickr Back to the topic, I have an old small compass, with stepped tips, that could work for this trick.
  9. My Apple MacBook has their Pages app, so I have a running list of kits that I add new acquisitions. It's not a spreadsheet, so I have to manually count when I want. In my case, I have Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Mercedes, Porsche, then American, Military, aftermarket, and misc. I should have cost.
  10. That's bitchin'! Well done. My only issue is it's RHD, but I know what a pain it is to convert.
  11. You did a fantastic job on this icon! I've thought about getting this kit, also the 1/12, but never have. I will also never drink that poison ever again! LOL
  12. I always wash everything before painting. I found that if chunks of baking soda were exposed, they dissolved out and created tiny holes that were easy to miss before painting. I also live in Arizona, where humidity is usually very low. But I'm still going to check old projects when I think of it.
  13. Embarrassed to say I got a full scale project two weeks ago. Will be lucky to get the VW done before Desert Scale Classic. Work is picking up. But who knows..... 1968 Chevy new eyes by Kurt Womack, on Flickr *edit* You can see why I'm anal about headlights.
