  1. I own a 2016 EX-T Coupe, so will consider this just because it's a 10th generation Civic. I do wish Honda would produce the R in the Coupe body, seems stupid not to.
  2. Completed a diorama display of the Mercedes 170V Roadster that I finished last December. It was fun to make the Pinon tree and rockwork. Added some wildlife, a Kaibab Squirrel, Steller's Jay and a Raven. I do wish a limb on the tree was longer, but I would never finish it. LOL
  3. pressure sand-blasting Timmy YES
  4. I have a couple of parts box ideas. Nice to see you do such a great job using limited resources!
  5. Not so, I have bumped against a limit, and removed some of my pictures, but that will only work for so long.
  6. Don't rope me into a dependency relationship to force me to feel better about myself! Tsk tsk. I have 3 projects, lurking in my demented mind, crying for me to finish them. Meanwhile, a new project (or many) is shouting louder, little voices every time I walk past my stash, "build me ....." One of my WIP was moved along recently, but now I need to vaccuform some parts, and that triggered me to halt. A Cord....... I just got the Monogram 812, just because I got the book The Tom Mix Cord from a local bookstore. Now explain why I did that, since I'm not really into classics, more into exotic sports cars, but the Coffin nosed phaeton is so cool looking.
  7. Great job using paint! Cool TR6! Seems like 1:43 and/or 1:32 scale are available, but I prefer 1:24/5. When I was in high school, got a ride home in one, but the shocks were worn out, seemed like we were dragging our butts on the pavement.
  8. Looks great! I've had to mix for a proper BRG before. If I wasn't so obsessed about Ferraris, would get this kit too.
  9. It should be a requirement, that when one posts a car with lots of chrome, that you tell us Bare Metal foil, or Molotov pen was used! I'm amazed you used water-based paints, I've been bitterly clinging to using enamels, but for some things like interior parts, am using acrylics. Nice job!
  10. How cool is this? Love the black on red. Did you use Bare Metal foil? Memories, isn't it amazing how we have the sense of smell logged into our memory bank? My dad's Mercedes with the wool upholstery, his Auto Union DKW with the two stroke and military canvas, my current 1969 Chevy pickup with gas fumes coming through the holes in the firewall. Too bad this is a Revell, only because the GSL Common Kit is Tamiya's Bug. It looks like a nice kit. My parents also owned not one, but two Beetles, before I was born, and am planning to start .... and finish next year.
  11. Thank you for piping up! I know mechanics don't salivate over people bringing in cars that require miniaturized midgets to work under the dashboards (for example), so I wouldn't wish this on any professional. I try to recognize the symptom before it gets out of hand. In our case, models are just a hobby, not a life or death thing, nobody is harmed by putting a project back into the box. We need to keep this in perspective. I appreciate this topic getting started, because I have 3 projects in various steps of completion. I actually dug one up, made some headway, then got distracted by starting *and finishing* another project, so I'm somewhat cured. You see some of the other topics, when someone admitted this hobby is therapeutic?
  12. Sort of like an Ariel Atom, cool project.
  13. From a newbie viewpoint, my two cents. Loved Bill's comment above. I'm guilty as charged. One time I posted what I thought was new, and someone posted a link to the same topic, and said I should have searched. Another topic was about a specific kit, I did a search, found it was part of many other kits announced to be released, and it was years before I got on here, then someone said why did I dredge up an old topic. Then I started a new one about that specific kit, and learned something, instead of getting berated. If people are so sensitive about being such long-time sages, and despise newbies, then let's have a freaking flame war, the Admins have nothing better to do.
  14. No argument here! Someone in my town spent 12 years restoring an Auburn gangster era sedan, in his own garage. He has taken it to several Cord-Auburn-Duesenburg shows, when they wanted to give him the Best Of Show for the third time, he said to give it to someone else! Their home has a special garage room dedicated to it. Can we agree it's a passionate dedication?
  15. Just a question for MCM Admins, are there enough members to justify looking into expanding your blog so we could post pictures directly? I would rather pay MCM a fee, much like getting a subscription to the dead tree edition. I had horrible customer service with Flickr, tried Ipernity when many people left, but it's been lackluster. Otherwise, will try Fokti.
