  1. Sage advice! I tried for the first time this year, sold a set of wheels was it.
  2. When I searched before posting, there is another thread explaining that. Daddyfink posted the correct kit, thanks.
  3. Love it! Thanks for making it dirty too, just isn't a rally car if it's clean.
  4. Box art dated 1979, kit # 1-3072. It's the silver factory stock version.
  5. I know some hate it when old threads are dredged up..... too bad. I just got one of these from an estate sale, for $40, still wrapped. All I wanted to know if it's a nice kit. And I assume Round 2 has not re-popped it.
  6. napkins at Delgadillo's
  7. That's great! I built a Lambo S-tank, same idea, blast out something rivet counters will ignore.
  8. Very nice, you are very organized which helps too. I put a flamethrower spark plug on the Honda Civic I did last year. I also put cigarette foil on some of the bumper for heat reflector. I also read recently the Muira was notorious, so owners install Halon systems. Any bets Teslas will also have this feature?
  9. Uh, did I miss you finishing the Pagani? Love this subject, I have several 1/24 kits, and the Fujimi 1/16 that would need such attention. You also adding a fire extinguisher system?
  10. About $50, a bit steep, but nothing like the '68-'72 Chevy pickup kits people hope to get rich with.
  11. Had someone whose dad died, had a bunch of models, many still wrapped, with price tags like $1.49. Some kits were started. The coolest I got is an IMC (Industro Motive Corp.) Ford GTP J car that was painted a bad white, easy save. Also got a Datsun pickup "California Sunshine" that was started, would make a cool autocross rig. Lindberg 1935 Auburn Speedster wrapped, Aurora Maserati 3500 GT, Monogram Cord 812, Monogram 1934 Duesenberg Weyman Torpedo Phaeton, and some other kits was my haul.
  12. Like I said. But I do have some bargain kits in my stash, good for those times when I want to start *and* finish in my lifetime.
  13. Good, I wanted to find this thread. I'm a lucky boy!
  14. My model area is about 4'x6', but I have a 3'x3' paint booth the other direction. Recently relocated the model stash into a 2' deep closet.
  15. I go through cycles. When I'm on a roll, I clean the workspace after finishing a build. Once in a long while, I add shelving, or go through parts stash boxes and sort out. I was working on two models at the same time recently, so now the bench is twice as cluttered. Then life caught up with me, and nothing is happening.
