So the assemblies are finally coming together - with mixed reviews - the body was glued to the frame - i got a good fit - but the gas pedal was knocked loose in the install - and the steering wheel should actually mount higher - but that can’t be fixed on this build - maybe when i make the sister car- the Boyle Special … and i decided to add some contrasting brown to the seat for a weathering effect …

Mechanical brake lines - the lines left the drums - were fed thru the axle - met under / by the sump- and then headed back to the brake pedal - the line is .022 wire …

The manifold was painted black, then Molotow chrome, and then hi-lites with steel and the Tamiya powders - blue and red - the red is not really red - its a gold tint …

The rear brake drums require some added detail - and i used a drill bit to carve out a section of the drum that will slip over the lip of the spindle - so now i’ve got the spats located properly …

The second part that is sourced fr Etzell’s 91 kit is the exhaust mamifold - Chris had his casted in white metal - he had planned to do a fr dr 91 kit - which is what Bradford has casted - All of Brad’s parts are resin - so my manifold is resin - with some slight mods to the location of the cyl head pegs…

The bonnet has three straps - not four- the fourth would be ruined by exhaust heat …. The springs on the straps are unique to early open wheelers - Tom’s Model works - which has an early aviation and miltary focus - has these in its catalog - thank you Tom …. The buckles are made from .012 nickel rod and a short length of .022 tube …

The decals were made by Gary at Circle Track Decals fr photos and my measurement estimates - he silkscreens - like the old Cady decals - so you lay on the color in layers - which of course is difficult for those of us who are decal challenged - but the color saturation is really good - and the white covers dark paint without complaining …

Gonna Get me some beeswax to remove some of the fuzzies - the bottom photo shows the resin cast wheel and the original wh metal casting in the Etzell kit - i sprayed the spokes on mine w some Green Stuff Chrome … thanks to the late Chris Etzell… gonna use one more part fr his kit … maybe two …

Its classic Miller - with a cord wrapped grip and a teethed crank in the center - i think that advanced / retarded The magneto …. Here’s where I’m using a part from Harold’s Miller 91 fr dr kit - Harold used the steering wh from Etzel’s rear dr 91 kit - which was originally casted in wh metal - its real good - i couldn’t do better - the Bradford casting just needs to be cleaned up, painted, and wrapped with some thread …

Gracias pico Mr Payne - do you have any of Etzel’s kits ? Been a while since there was an Etzel build on the forum - just sayin … The instr panel has been sitting quietly in a parts box for months - now installed after gluing the windscreen bracket as shown … on to the steering wheel …

There are some details to add to the drivers compartment before the body is glued onto the frame - added a brake line that is braced against the driveline - and a fuel line with a valve - and added a couple more frame members that the body would be bolted to on the one- to-one … and i made an oil tank that sits in the cowl behind the instr dash … amd decided it was time to glue on the shifter …
