  1. The engine installation is the same as in the 1960 Porsche FII …. Tube frame - the two cars shared many features …
  2. For all of Porsche’s success in sports car racing, it seems that they tip-toed into formula II, and then formula I …. While designing their formula II entry, Jean Behra purchased their racing four and designed and built this car in 1959 - there are two on the planet ..

  6. Note the slender plug wires…. With the recent 3D printed Cosworth engines - available in any scale - this would be a good scratchbuild project - anyone seen 3 view drawings of the 26 ? I’m certain that they are available …
  7. Cosworth Ford engine and Hewland gearbox - Ferrari wouldn’t sell you his 12 - and no one seemed to want the Alfa …. Sorry Alfa …. There was still the Matra 12 - but this was the only way to the front of the grid …

  10. Designers in 78 were still not sure where to put the radiator - i think this was a John Barnard design - his take on how to solve the challenge of drag and weight of the radiator was very interesting - the brake and clutch fluid containers are tucked under the trailing edge of the radiator …. I think also unusual …

Brian Redman has relocated his Florida event to Homestead after the Moroso track in West west west Palm Beach was devoured by developers … i always enjoyed the vintage events at Moroso - but the Homestead track is 10 miles fr my driveway …. 19. The leaf springs come to life w some Zero Paints airbrushed steel over Alclad black, and GSW chrome - then the axle cradle is hit w some Tamiya semi-gl black - then the bolts get some GSW chrome - the finish on the water pump shows the contrast with the steel finish on the springs … based on the early returns - the Zero Paints metal finishes seem to withstand handling during assembly …. I think the GSW Paints will lose some lustre if handled alot …
  20. The engine cradle is brush painted w some tamiya copper - the brace in front is the GSW copper over the textured black - we have a winner …
  21. There are about a dozen parts on this car that are cast bronze - or copper - can’t tell which - so Im trying some Green Stuff World paint over this zero textured paint -
