  1. Yes, I did enjoy the pictures. Thank you for sharing them and the background with us.
  2. 1/24 Bartoletti – A Load of Cobras This is a scratchbuilt Bartoletti transporter that was used in Europe by Shelby and Alan Mann to transport Cobras and GT40s. The body and interior were fabricated by Mike Sells of Fargo and an AMT Ladder Truck chassis added by yours truly. Fabrizio, who also built a Bartoletti transporter, contributed the lettering. The Cobras are by Revell #142, Gunze Sangyo #11, and Lindberg #59.
  3. Beautiful for sure. I know it is 1/18 and the level of detail is fabulous. The Ferodo decal is a nice touch.
  4. Pattos Place in Australia has the vac body like David B. used and the wheels are in the '64 Cutlass kit I believe.
  5. Thanks to Snake's tip, I just received the Motormax Bond Aston Martin DB5. The doors open and the roof hatch is removeable but that is it. The wire wheels are not bad actually. But look at the headlamps. I am disappointed with them. Here is a comparison with the Danbury Mint DB5.
  6. I don't have to look who the sender is anymore I've come to recognize the countertop. Carry on!!
  7. My theory is you can never have enough Porsche 911s. So when influencer Helmut posted the new Hachette Collection 1970 911S I went looking for one. Unfortunately the only ones I found on the web would not ship to the USA. But I keep checking and patience finally paid off and eBay finally had a listing and mine came yesterday.
  8. Your idea of a dedicated trailer with batteries certainly makes scense Bill.
  9. Thank you Snake. Just put my order in.
  10. Porsche 904 - Cunningham #37 Even though this kit was released by Monogram I still think of it as an Aurora kit, one of their best. I had forgotten how many parts it has. The only thing I see that has changed in this release are the wheels. They are larger than the originals which I can live with though I will change the tires. I have two big projects to finish so this might take a while.
  11. Very well-done Dave and thanks for posting. I see you changed the headlamp buckets, added a spoiler and the rear fender flares.
  12. Well, I be darned! I never noticed that before, but it disappeared soon after. It does not show up at Spa or Reims. Good catch.
  13. Very hard to believe that is only 1/43. Impressive.
  14. Thank you for sharing your build and insight.
  15. It is a relief to see you pop back in though due to unfortunate circumstances. The diecast collection at auction is simply amazing and very tempting.
  16. Yes, the #11 is a modified Gunze kit which I lengthened the wheelbase and rounded over the nose to match CSX2299 before the smashed in nose at Le Mans. Thanks for the kind words too.
  17. This is the Lindberg kit in its original 1964 guise. Built, several decades ago, to look like CSX 2287 at Daytona.
  18. Pierre, I am afraid I do not a any photos of the interior and iP CSX2196 before it became the Flip Top though my guess would be a stock dash.
  19. Forgive me Pierre but I am drawing a blank on "IP".
  20. Here is a good profile shot. (both Miles and engine)
  21. I like what you are doing to make the model look more authentic. Please keep us posted.
  22. Update - dug out some decals and updated the photo.
  23. Beautiful looking model.
  24. Welcome Kevan. My grandfather Kelly was from Ramsey.
