  1. One would like to think they will, and I am pretty confident that they will get at least very close, hopefully, lol. I have seen from your posts that you are very knowledgeable on the subject at question, and even small errors that are virtually imperceptible to most of us are glaring errors to those who possess said knowledge. Time will tell, but it would have to be a better more accurate kit than the MPC variant at the very least, lol.
  2. Maybe, just maybe they will include more than one wheel option, kind of like the '68 and '69 Chevelle. It cracks me up how some modelers worry and fret about trivial things whenever a new tool announcement is made. Like none of us has a few extra sets of Magnum 500's sitting around anyways. I'm personally excited about this news for a number of reasons, even though the subject may not be my favorite car or even favorite Mustang I still like the body style. And as mentioned previously, any new tooling is great news, considering how very close we were very recently to losing Revell as a manufacturer altogether!!
  3. Very nice! I like the color!
  4. Nicely done! sharp color combo!
  5. Went to the one in Flint, Michigan this morning. They had lots of big Sea Witch boats and some I think they were Submarines. Also a bunch of Diesel Tugs, Testors Pagani and a red Chevy, some Scooby bi-planes (very tempted on that one) some small easy build airplanes, a nice looking jet-fighter (can't remember what it was called) the Stagecoach and a bunch of various 1/32 scale cars, and the Mack Firetruck snap-tite. I dug enough to find one Revell '48 Ford Coupe Police 2n1 alone behind everything else that I could barely reach (probably why it was still there). Since that was the the main target after reading what was available, I have to be pretty happy to have at least found one. I would have loved to have gotten two and maybe even a '66 Suburban, but will consider this trip a success.
  6. That is a beautiful car! You're off to a nice start!
  7. Another amazing and mind-blowingly detailed and well done masterpiece!! I continue to be in awe of the skill and patience involved in these awesome pieces of machinery you build!
  8. Great looking Charger! I really like the color and the choice of wheels!
  9. Excellent job! Beautiful paint and color, and the red stripe really sets it off.
  10. I finished this one up a few days ago. It's for a box-art build-off on a Facebook group I'm in. I've always wanted to do this kit, and this was the perfect opportunity. It's painted in Tamiya TS-26 Pure White, with Decoart Americana True Red acrylic craft paint airbrushed on the sides and I airbrushed Folkart Blue Sapphire Metallic acrylic craft paint for the roof, scoop, and hood and trunk stripes. I then cleared it all with a coat of Testors #1261 followed by BMF and decals, and more #1261 clear. The interior is a combination of craft paint and Stylylrez black primer cleared with a coat of pledge floor polish. The chassis is Stynylrez black primer and the engine is in the Blue Sapphire craft paint. I did add valve stems, as I can't see not adding those to a build anymore seeing as how easy it is to do, and plug wires. This was a pretty nice kit, and aside from the front and rear "glass" being a little tricky with not much contact surface to work with, went together very nicely. Outside of the decals and the slicks, this could have been built "factory stock" since it included a full exhaust that's not needed for the race version. I really enjoyed this build! Thanks for looking!
  11. My guess is that the photo was airbrushed to achieve that effect. I have seen posts from the box-art builders that state a lot of the photos get that treatment by the model companies for effect.
  12. Sweet job on both of them!! I've heard horror stories about the AMT kit, but yours sure looks nice. What color blue did you use on the Revell kit, it looks great??!! I'll also second what Snake said about showing both together, the best way to compare!
  13. Color looked great and I had the same problem with my hood decals. I decided to leave them off and just went with the side stripe. Sorry to see the bad clear reaction, awfully strange to react on the very last coat!
  14. Oh yeah, that's pretty sweet! Well done!
  15. I popped into the HL in Flint, Michigan on Thursday morning, and they were wiped out of the marked down kits in question. No planes either, in fact nothing clearanced in the model aisle at all. I have no luck in finding these unicorns in the pot o' gold at the end of the rainbow. Although I think it was two mark-down cycles ago that I did score 3 WWII airplane kits for $3.99 each, and stupidly passed on a couple of the Prowler kits that they did have. They would have been worth the $7.49 just for the trailers, lol. I did pick up a bottle of metallic craft paint in a cool color, and another can of Testors clear lacquer #1261 at Michaels at 20% off, so not a wasted trip.
  16. Thanks Steve, I appreciate it! Thanks Mike!
  17. Tom, these look awesome! I would love to see more pics and info on them and the build process, which had to take a lot of space. Is it possible to P.M. another member so as not to hijack this fine build thread?
  18. Those are looking good Steve! I very much look forward to seeing the finished product!
  19. That's a great idea, and looks killer!!
  20. Thanks for the info, Chris. I really enjoy your video reviews. They are instrumental in whether I feel the need for certain kits, especially when I see the parts break-down, if there are extra cool parts and wheels/tires. I love your weathering tips/tricks too, and your genuine passion for the hobby. Thanks for doing what you do!
  21. Well done! Cool little car!
  22. My two most recent. Model Master Honduras Maroon and Tamiya TS-38 Gunmetal on the 1940 Ford. Tamiya TS-53 Deep Metallic Blue from the can with Tamiya X-2 Acrylic White airbrushed stripes and red pinstripe and hash mark decals on the 1970 1/2 Camaro.
