  1. Thanks guys, I appreciate it greatly!
  2. Turned out pretty good despite the issues!
  3. Finished this one up a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't post any pics until now since it was for a box stock build-off for one of my facebook groups that ended on Dec. 1. It's the Revell 1968 Corvette Roadster done box stock with the only addition being approved BMF for the trim. This is a really nice kit and I had a lot of fun building it. The kit was painted with Chroma Molten Metals Acrylic craft paint custom mixed by my wife which I then sprayed through my airbrush, making it my very first airbrush paint job. The interior was also craft paint through my airbrush, as was the chassis. In fact, everything except a few small parts and certain details was done with craft paints (about 95% of the car) and mostly sprayed through the airbrush. The toughest part of the whole thing , I think, was picking out which pics to use for the contest. I like the looks of each variation-- No top, Soft top and Hard top-- so I ended up using one pic of each for the three allotted body shot angles. I am still learning new things, but the biggest thing I still need to learn is to be more patient and not to rush. Thanks for looking!
  4. Very nice also! I've always been partial to the Monte Carlo body style!
  5. Oh yeah! I agree! Like I said, lots of cool extras in some of those Coca Cola kits that I could use for my garage diorama that I'm working on. And the more kits to choose from, the merrier, to a certain personal financial standpoint, lol.
  6. That's a great looking Monte Carlo! You did a nice job with it. I have one all primed and ready to paint when I got my winter painting done in September, but I changed my mind on the color. I still can't think of a color, but do intend to do a vinyl top on it for my first attempt at one.
  7. Sharp looking '72! I really like that shade of blue.
  8. That is sharp!! Very cool and a great paint job! I haven't seen anything done in TS-13 yet and it looks great.
  9. Oh man would I love to have one of those trans-kits! I'm guessing they are not still available, and even so I probably couldn't afford one for a while, lol.
  10. Ha!! Too funny!! And also coming soon from AMT/Round2....
  11. We make fun of all of these Coca Cola based kits, myself included, but in reality they're actually a pretty good deal considering most of them come with the extras like the vending machine in this one. I think I am going to have to start picking some of these up for the extras.
  12. Excellent tip! Thank you!
  13. That's a sweet looking ZL-1!
  14. Nice looking Cuda! I agree on the Sub-Lime color. The stance and those wheels/tires give it that cool mean look. Great job!!
  15. Nice job! Great color!
  16. I saw this posting from Shore Line Hobby on Facebook and it's also listed on their website, but haven't seen it or heard about it anywhere else. Anybody have any info about this? Seems like it would be a major seller if it's true, as I know of a lot of us would like one but aren't willing to shell out the ebay money for one.https://www.shorelinehobby.com/products/revell-usa-1-25-auto-transport-trailer-rm1509?fbclid=IwAR3RLdVEd_fk2XALcp6vgiOayDHSqNjwhKUBrmsjX8KZXEx_bL7wH4j-egY
  17. Thanks guys, much appreciated.
  18. Great looking restoration! I always liked the Cyclones.
  19. Looks good! As noted above, the wheels and tires really set it off.
  20. A bit of a different look, but very well done! Great looking engine!
  21. I like that! Sharp color and the wheels look great!
  22. Thanks for all the positive comments, guys. I went back and cleaned a few things up, but I left the paint job alone. I also added some white letters on the tires thanks to Fireball Modelworks. They are awesome decals and I bought, and have used a bunch of them to upgrade some of my builds.
  23. Thank you Dan! Thanks Bo! Thanks Guido!
  24. Sharp looking Hurst/Olds! Great stance and looks mean with the wider rear tires. Well done!
