  1. Looks great! Very nice job!
  2. I honestly hadn't spotted that difference until seeing your post, so definitely thanks for bringing that to my attention so I can try to correct it. I do have an older (probably from the 90's) unused can of dullcote that I am contemplating using, but I have to test spray it first so as to not ruin the interior if it doesn't turn out. It's currently struggling to get higher than 30 degrees where I live so it might be a bit before I can try it as I have to spray outside. If not, I will be fine with how it currently looks. And thank you, I am very pleased with how the body turned out. The Tamiya sprays really go on nicely.
  3. Pretty much what I am going for is a '79 Corvette with the '78 Pace Car kit. As far as I can tell there is no real discernible difference in the two years but I am labeling the build as a '78 simply because that is the year of the car as shown on the kit box. I love the Pace Cars but didn't really want to build it as such at this time (I will certainly look to do one in the future) as I have always liked the dark blue/oyster interior color combo so I decided to go that route for this build.
  4. Painted this one over a year ago, then put it away because I was stalled on interior color. Did bits of minor parts painting here and there and put on the decals earlier this year. Finally last week I called upon my wife to mix up a batch of the color I was after. Turns out I should have asked her a long time ago, because I think the color turned out great. I think I'm going to spray some dullcote on the seats and carpet to separate the color from the dash and console a bit and hopefully that will do the trick. Last pic is what I am aiming for.
  5. Well I mixed up a couple of batches of paint for the '78 Corvette's interior so I decided to put it back on the workbench. The carpet color is off a bit but I am very happy otherwise. I think it looks much better than my first attempt. The only problem is that my mixture is fighting me consistency wise. I'm using Model Master enamels and it's becoming thick and pasty even after mixing in some thinner already. Hopefully I can smooth it out for final touch-up because it's a bit rough right now. Also got the badge decals on. Last pic is interior of real car I was aiming for(not mine).
  6. Looks great! Nice job on the interior. Well done!
  7. Looks great! Can't go wrong with a bandit T/A.
  8. She's a beaut! That red paint is gorgeous, and I love the gator in the back seat.
  9. That's awesome!! Beautiful paint job. The Escalade front end looks like it belongs there. Bravo!!
  10. That's a very good idea and definitely worth looking into.
  11. Absolutely, reading Poseiden's Arrow currently at the time of this post. As far as where to put it when finished, I haven't thought ahead that far, LOL.
  12. Factory stock Muscle Cars.
  13. Very nice. Looks fantastic.
  14. Phenomenal job! Very well done! Great craftsmanship on this one. She looks very realistic and believable as a racer from...say the 60's to compete against maybe the Cobras and Ferraris of the period. Bravo!!
  15. Decided on standard height walls. Also got "my office" situated. Just need some more scrap book paper to finish decorating the rest of the walls before permanently placing them. Then probably slowly start adding some furniture, equipment and people.
  16. Very nicely done!!
  17. He had some of the best paint schemes of the 2000's in that #5 car. Very well done!!
  18. That sure looks the part! Well done!
  19. Nicely done!!
  20. Nice job! Great looking Lambo!
  21. Nice Firebird and minibike! The Firebird looks good in that color. Great job on the interior.
  22. Great job as usual Marcos!! Looks awesome!
  23. Thanks for the words of encouragement. Definitely not giving up as I'm anxious to see how it will turn out when done . I'm just going to put it away for a month or two until I hopefully have the means to replicate the factory colors more closely either by mixing or by buying the proper shades. My other alternative was to do the interior in black and be able to finish the model right away, but I really fancy the oyster color combo so I'll wait .
