Here's my version of the AMT 1955 Chevy Cameo Pickup. This is my second build of this kit and both were really fun builds. This one is painted in Createx Pearl Plum and cleared with Createx UVLS 4053 High Gloss Clear. I hollowed out the grille and used Bare Metal Foil for the trim. I used craft paint for the bed and taped off the bed rails and airbrushed Molotow Chrome. The interior is painted in Apple Barrel Antique White and the Pearl Plum and I added a turn signal indicator for extra detail. I used the kit engine, but added the heads, valve covers, and exhaust manifolds from the AMT 1955 Chevy Bel Air. I also added heater hoses and spark plug wires for extra details. The suspension was lowered and I used the wheels and tires from the Revell 1970 Pontiac Firebird kit. To make room for the wheels/tires, I cut some of the bed and inner bed wall out and added wheel tubs made from a prescription pill bottle and some .010" sheet styrene. The exhaust was custom made using the crossover pipe from the Bel Air kit, some 3/32" styrene tubing, and a scratch built muffler. Aside from the well-known front and rear window fit issue, this was a pretty nice fitting kit and a lot of fun to build. If interested, I have some progress videos showing some of the modifications and techniques I used during the build process on my Youtube channel, Stumpy Grump's Scale Speed Shop. As always, thanks for looking!!

It looks excellent! One would have never suspected any issues seeing the finished product! -
Great looking Road Runner! Winchester Gray might be my favorite Mopar color, and those Fireball wheels look great on there!

Awesome looking Camaro with excellent details! I love the color and the hubcaps! I've built the Nickey version of this kit and thought it was a fantastic kit and I would also love to see a re-issue.

I have a tutorial video on Youtube on vinyl tops using only craft paint. In my opinion, using any kind of masking tape is way out of scale. at 1/25 the size, the vinyl top texture from a 1:1 would be almost non-existent. Here's the link to my vid.
