Thank you for the feedback. I do dig the detail in these kits.

Ferrari F-40 LM
Toast replied to Rich Chernosky's topic in Other Racing: Road Racing, Salt Flat Racers
That's an awesome F40 build Rich! I am a huge F40 nerd. I have a couple of them to build and have always wondered about this offering. Justin I think I was watching that auction as well. I have a couple different F40 kits including Italeri's 24th scale version so couldn't justify adding another to the list to build. The price was definitely right! Nice score. It looks like if you can get the body straightened out it'll build up to a nice Ferrari! -
My attempt at making a Review/Build video of this kit.

Hey we're just north of there! I'll see what we have going on. Thank you for the heads up.

Used a Revell kit, Model Car World lacquers, and a combination of Slixx and Powerslide decals. Built box stock and used a lot of different paint techniques to bring out detail. Constructive critique is always welcome.

A video I put together of an ATV trip a friend of mine and I went on last fall. We drove 720 miles across three states on a 5 day round trip.

I've got it on my calendar!

Details are spot on. Great build!

Ha ha yeah! A stock Delorean would also get me into trouble! Thank you for posting up this good info.

That Delorean could get me into trouble! I have two in may stash I've been looking at trying to open the doors on.

I love blue Ferraris and really enjoyed watching that color build up on your build! Looking at the parts layout in your first post it looks like this kit may have been a rework of a 348 kit. So creating a body that goes together similar to what they already had could be why they chose the separate parts they way they did. Your work on it paid off though and I think the body work looks excellent.

Very nice S-10! I dig the way that dash looks in there. -
Very nicely done. Great color combo as well.

We had an Orb spider at our back door last summer. "Butt" was about as big as a nickel. I moved it to beside the shed cause the kids didn't want to go to the backyard. I looked a couple times to see if it made a new web there but never did. Must have said heck with us!

I'll join this fun. Combined a few kits for this build. I really gotta get this one back out and finish it. -
This turned out really cool! Very clean building and the paint looks great!
-
Well, the rest of the build matches that sweet paint job. I also like the extra detail of the flockin in the interior. Great job!

Built this along side the kiddos so was just looking for something that would go together easy. The kit has some really nice details. It does ride a little high but not terrible. Could be easily remedied. Painted Testors Graphite Dust with Wet Look Clear. Various enamels and acrylic paint for details. Thank you for looking. Comments always welcomed.

That is an awesome color and you laid it down prefect! I've always wanted to try fingernail polish through my airbrush.

Thank you! We all brought builds to show. Our oldest built the blue Jeep and our youngest the two rainbows. No awards this show but she was excited to use the turntable she won at the last show we went to.
