IE7, IE8 and now IE9......IE8 works best on this forum, IE7 is trouble with the "new" board and I got rid of IE9 as it has a few issues with this forum.Upgrade to IE 8 and when you close your browser in full size it will reopen full size......Thats the square boxes up on the top, between shrink completely or exit I have both XP on my tower and Vista on the laptop.....you can have mozilla/firefox and get rid of chrome. I will not ever go back to firefox as with my security and firewalls...and all current updates..IE8 rocks

I don't think it was too easy....But a lot of us old farts remember Kustom history....Harry was the godfather in many eyes Great choice!! B) Harry Westergard customized the 1940 Westergard Mercury with a 1942 Buick grille and avant-garde fadeaway fenders and packard lights http://auto.howstuffworks.com/westergard-mercury-custom-car.htm Harry taught a couple of kids by the name of Barris...... "Harry was known as a man that cared about other people, especially young people. According to Teen Angel, and his "Cruise Into the Past" story that he wrote for Lowrider Magazine March 1980, high school kids used to come around his backyard shop to learn about customizing cars. He always took time out to show them how to do things that would help the appearance of their cars. Two of these kids were George and Sam Barris. Well look at yourself...He was quite rude to myself and others and quite long winded...sorry Ken those are real facts...I do have a few screen copies of his actions. That said you did not see my post: That makes me sad...He is a great builder I also sent him a PM asking him to return. just because I do not care about his attitude and politics on this forum does not mean his skills shouldn't be here I think you are the classless one Mr Moderator Hart

other transmission for a top-fuel engine
MikeMc replied to fiatboy's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
I don't think a fuel motor is wise...and why would you need 8000hp? A well built motor can give you 1200 to 2000 hp and will last more than a few miles w/o exploding here are links for real world motors that can be cooled http://www.treracing....com/bbc8.shtml http://www.jonkaaser...ts/engines.html This is a 820 Cubic Inch Pro Stock GM HEMI Engine 1800+ horsepower As far as a transmission goes...Powerglides built for racing will hold 3000 hp add an over or underdrive and your set they are also quite short and can be shifted manually http://www.nealtrans...nsmissions.html http://www.atiracing...ns/pg/index.htm -
Love the front wheelwells...Foose did that and I think it makes a major statement...rear pan is bitch*n....keep it up  Where in FL are you now??

MikeMc replied to sportandmiah's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
1 mix it 2 parts enamel 1 part cheap lacquer thinner......Check with Donn Yost 2.....shine is shine...polish the clear 3 You need Tamiya X20a or Tamiya lacquer thinner.......REALLY...and good luck finding them now...they will be back 4 after the color mix pearl flake into the first coat of clear....then bury it in more clear 5 I shoot lacquers..2 or 3 primer, wetsand,5 to 10 whisper thin color coats followed by 3 or 4 clear coats Thats my way...seems to work well -
Thanks Dad...............

Looking for someone to cast a transmission for me
MikeMc replied to LOBBS's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
My 2 cents worth.....EVERYTHING that Kris makes is first class, I won't use any other distributers than the ones from MAD.....for that matter go one step further...Kris is with a group of 4 top notch resin casters out of MI. They are called DRAG...Detroit Resin Automotive Group Thats MAD, SMBC, Motor City Resin Casters and Missing Link Resin Casters GREAT PEOPLE, PRODUCTS AND SERVICE!!!! -
One caution about future....no wetsanding.....dry sand and polish.....
-
I would put acrylics in the dehydrator for 2 hours, w/o I would wait 4 hours...acrylics properly thinned will dry very quick for tapeouts As far as clear goes, I never use the stuff in acrylics, Tamiya TS13 or Future will both work
