  7. Ross makes some big motors..verry kool..but you will need bigger wheels, tires , and brakes....ever hear of Pegasis?? :D Thanks....only thing done on the bed was the cover...and the pipes with matching glasspacks are in the box...Yeah it had a major drop, c notched and flipped axle out back and a rad dropped front. The big changes are the cab was chopped and sectioned with a pancaked hood ...all subtile and sorta easy to do...look for my wip
  8. NO NAMES but the young man did start to grow up both as a modeler and a man...his builds are getting better each and every time now.....cause he listened We all now who he is and I'm glad he is still here and modeling!! :D
  9. Wish Donnies post was still up...... :D I would make a form out of wood...square and smooth in the exact width you want. Dip the part into almost boiling water..200 degrees or so...then bring part out and set over base then pour cold water over both. DO NOT start waving, twisting or anthing but a smooth short move from heat to base...set it on, do not push and let it cool then pour cold water...this will reset the part. I have done this twice and have had success.I had 2 pickup boxes with a twist and this worked quite well, as i'm not a woodworker.
  10. We have all learned the same lessons Rob.....Some of us learned quickly....some of us are still learning...Thanks for the HONEST thoughts!! :D
  11. Hey Keith......we bump again....great minds..... The current 50 ford kit comes with an Ardun head conversion of the old flathead. The Ardun is a kool motor in its own right, but from experience this kit will hold just about any motor....I'm using a small block 302 ford (Revell 32 sedan) in my latest 50 PU.....and I have a 427 SOHC in a 56 F100. You tell me what I did to change up these two trucks....same kit
  12. Busch allegedly was clocked at 128 mph in a 45-mph zone while driving a yellow Lexus LFA, a two-seat sport coupe produced as a concept car and production model. Thats all he was doing in a LFA ??? :P I think he could beat "reckless" in court.....Careless or stupid...nope
  13. PANIC SETS IN>>>WRONG FACTS http://www.towerhobbies.com/plastic/listings/acrylic_paint.html The facts are that Tamiya has stopped importing many products thanks to CA and the laws, All primers, Thinners (lacquer and acryl) are all being relabeled and will start coming back soon. I have yet to see any official announcements from Tamiya, just hearsay thru dealers. If you follow the tower link, you will see many colors out of stock...NOW ...please stop rumors from spreading

  16. or just use your regular wet /dry paper and use a spray adhesive on both surfaces..I use 3M super 77. sticks, rods rubber blocks......
  17. The aerosal in question. $13.00 a can...its labeled for lexan...I do not know if its hotter on styrene, but if it sticks to lexan it will be tough.I always primed my lexan bodies with "adherto" clear lexan primer.
