  1. Here's an Allison based on the Allison Thunderland T-Bird kit. I'm working on the feul system now.
  2. Thanks for straightening that out. I couldn't find any other data.
  3. The only thing I haven't been able to lay my hands cheaply is a Johan 60 Desoto Adventurer.
  4. Wow. I really dig that. Great thinking. Reminds me of a TV show car from the 70's. The name escapes me at this moment.
  5. Nice looking models. Well done.

What a great variety of work! All of it super clean and well thought out. Very nice.
  7. I love this. Very 70's with a little George Trosley mixed in. I've got one planned also.
  8. Hmm. I also found this. Looks like it depends on where the car was made. R3 is the engine type. http://www.theavanti.net/r3.html Studebaker Avanti 1964 Production R3 Profile Serial Number Original Locations Paint Color Transmission R5089 Downers Grove, Illinois turquoise 4-speed R5237 Seattle, Washington black 4-speed R5394 Kingston, Pennsylvania white 4-speed R5532 Vauxhall, New Jersey turquoise 4-speed R5546 Fort Wayne, Indiana gold 4-speed R5593 Yuma, Arizona gray automatic R5625 Toledo, Ohio black automatic R5642 Moline, Illinois white automatic R5643* Jackson, Mississippi white automatic
  9. That's a very impressive body of work. Well done.
  10. Very unique. I like it.
  11. Looking good Bernard.
  12. That looks top notch man. I like it a lot.
  13. The blanket, as I did it would be hard for most folks to replicate. I used a very thin lint free cloth. This is something not used very much outside machine shops and clean room laboratories. They are 8.5"x8.5", are thin enough to feed through a printer (barely), come in bags of 500 and are quite expensive. Gun cleaning patches are made of the same stuff. A 3"x3" shotgun patch would be a good size, but you would have to make your own pattern with fabric markers which I have done before. Another option that a member on my FB group came up with this idea. http://www.craftycomputerpaper.co.uk/.A4-Cotton-Crafters-Canvas-Photo-Fabric_10601016.htm This is what I used.
  14. Thanks very much Bernard. I appreciate the compliment.
  15. Ya know, I always try to find something I like in a custom like this. I really can't on this one.
  16. Parts by Parks makes a nice set. You can find them at a few online vendors. http://xtremescaledetail.com/categories/category/31-parts-by-parks
  17. I have no model planned thus far, but I will keep this in mind when I go to the spring swap meet locally. I don't have a rally car in my collection yet and it would be a good addition. I would like to add though that this is the NINTH annual running of the Cannonball Run CBP. When I started this CBP back then on the SA forums, I never thought it would become as popular as it has. I'm very pleased and honored to be part of such an excellent group of builders. I hope this CBP continues for many years to come. Happy New Year guys.
  18. I've been using sanding sticks from Sallys for a long time they are great. I usually cut them long-wise about 70/30 so that I have a wide and narrow sander.
  19. Carl, I'm pretty sure they came from the Revell '49 Merc. Thanks very much for the compliments guys. I'm glad you like it. Although I used a different material (what I used isn't cheap or readily available), I'm told there are now printable cloth kits available from Joannes and the like (for quilting) that might allow you to create Indian blankets.
  20. Great looking model Jim. I like the wheels and stance.
  21. Wow . That's a great set of models. Very clean, very authentic. Nice work.
  22. I was shooting for something very different with these decals. The decals looked fine until I hit them with dullcoat. I may try to remove them. With a coat of dullcoat it'll be tough.

That looks fantastic. Great paint and design.
  24. What a great group of builds. That's some nice looking work.
  25. Nice group Tom. Lotta good work.
