  1. Amt 40. Done 25+ years ago.
  2. Thanks very much. I had the best time building it. More pics here, including WIP. http://s53.photobucket.com/user/Jantrix/library/Junkmans%20trailer?sort=3&page=1 Unloaded.
  3. Wow. I can't say I've seen headers that route that way before. Usually they go behind the motor mounts and crossmember. Are the stock manifolds still an option? Or something from the parts box?
  4. My junkmans trailer is the only thing so far with actual rust.
  5. Promoted at work! I was hired as a Tech 2, and was recently promoted to Tech 3 (T4 is the top). Average time to make T3 is about 7-8 years. I did it just shy of 4 years. It's nice to work for people that recognize drive, commitment and ability.
  6. Excellent. Welcome guys.
  7. You could be right. I swore years ago that the saggy pants, underwear showing fad would die out quickly. But the idiots are still doing it. There's just no accounting for taste. Ya know?
  8. Therein lies the rub, I'm building this for the July 4th weekend build off. I'm going to experiment on the thread cutting idea this weekend and see how it goes.
  9. Excellent. I'm glad some more folks are going to join the fun. I'll alter the OP to clear up any questions.
  10. Agreed. However this was kit was given to me by someone special and I'm gonna give it the old college try. Thanks for the advice guys.
  11. Very nice!
  12. Well you can't doubt a guy with a moniker like that. Wow. If you look in the dictionary under traditional hot rod, you'll find that picture. A '29 roadster on a deuce frame. He didn't even split the wishbones. According to my Dad, that's just about the first thing they did back in the day. Love the headlight bar. One sweet rod.
  13. Yep. Even here in Florida, these paints dry in no time.
  14. As one of my favorite interior builders Jim, that speaks volumes, but sadly I've never been that good with a paint brush. I have a decent jewelers saw. I've never tried thread. Would the saw remove too much material?
  15. I have a new project coming up and it's a very old Monogram '57 hardtop. The interior cup is all one piece and the engraving is shallow. Not a great subject for masking for two tone door panels. So what do you guys do for this? Liquid mask? Brush painting? BMF as a mask? Cut the door and side panels away, paint and glue back together? Any help would be appreciated.
  16. Oh man. That's complete BS. Torques (and other five spokes like Keystones, Cragars) aren't generic. They are "classic". They speak of muscle and have for generations. When the current "dub" fad is a faded memory, people will still be sporting a classic five spoke.
  17. Same here. I bought it, had Revell send me the tampo white walls for it and now I'm just waiting for inspiration to strike. Great stuff here guys. Keep it going.
  18. I'm gonna have find out more about that.
  19. Looking forward to more. That's a Revell kit by the way.The interior is perfect.
  20. Of all the auto parts stores I have been to, Pep Boys keeps the biggest selection of colors and varieties.
  21. I have a soft spot for that old kit, so yes, good news to me. If it has the clear hood and the injector intake, I'll very likely wet myslef a little.
  22. AMT '53 Stude Starliner. Revell '32 five window coupe.
