I just saw this on Ebay. It's just a promotional flyer for these. I've never even heard of them before, but the only thing I can find online is for 1/72 aircraft. Does anyone have any reference of these for cars? Or any information on the entire series. Tim Boyd, where are you?

Thanks for the heads up, but I'd still need the decals. -

First one looks like an International knock-off. Second one looks like a Rambler. Not good. -

What's the closest kit to use for the Beetle in the original movie? I read the original car was a 63 square window. Or an oval window with the back window cut open into a square.

what the hell happened???

I agree with the consensus that the primer was too soft for the paint. Primer is the stable foundation for the paint to build on. Kind of like building a skyscraper on sand. If it's not solid, it won't support the top coats afterwards. Good thing is, it doesn't look like the plastic is crazed so you can strip it off and start over. Try using brake fluid to soften the primer and the paint will come off with it. Next time, let the primer completely harden before putting paint on it. You should block sand primer smooth before adding color anyway. If the primer sands easily with powder coming off, then it's ready. If it doesn't and it gums up the sandpaper, then it's still soft and needs more time to harden. -

We all know about Palmer's notoriously bad annual car kits, but I was unfamiliar with their other products. While browsing the 'bay, I came across this Palmer kit that I'd never seen before. This kit is definitely more detailed than the ones I'm used to seeing, with the possibility that it's more accurate too. Is anyone familiar with other Palmers like this? Can anyone comment on their accuracy?

Wait! Wasn't this released around '69? Well after the full detail '66 annual which was later butchered into the mod stocker. Is there a possibility that there was an ex-promo curbside body along with the regular kit body that might be still lurking in the deep catacombs of the Round 2 vaults?

I enjoyed the article, thanks for sharing JJ. I really got a kick from the writers statement... Because, we all know that no marque is immune from the ravages of bad drivers, neglected maintenance and depreciation. All those wrecked high-end exotics and overpowered muscle cars have to end up somewhere. They don't just disappear, not right away at least! I ran across this article on an exotic car junkyard. https://petrolicious.com/articles/this-sports-car-scrapyard-is-home-to-ferrari-testarossas-not-nissan-altimas

How about painting a line of Future floor wax along the edge of the foil to simply seal it?

Interior bucket fit help.
Oldcarfan27 replied to Kevinch's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I've run across old kits that had excessive space between the body and the interior shell. Design gaps, not due to any interference. I just take thin strip of plastic and shim both sides of the door panels to fill the spaces. Then sand to fit snugly. If you're creative, you could use that as an opportunity to create "window fuzzies" where the glass would roll down into the door channel. Just a little added detail that most people don't usually think of. -
