Great start and progress on the R34. I love the color and the finish is the visual definition of "brilliance"! I also like the panel lines. It can't be stressed enought how vital that is to a great, realistic-looking finish. The engine's coming along nice, too. Would be nice to see more builds of you again. Your website may be a bit outdated technical-wise, but the contents are still great to read and to look at. So rather spend your time on new projects...

Thanks folks, for your kind feedback. I'm glad you like the Vette... Yes, they are nice, but in fact, they are more a lovely touch by Revell as they are included in the kit! Thoughtful of them, isn't it? Well, actually it's a metallic red Ferrari color from Gravity Colours. It's quite similar to the color used on one of the models shown on the kit's box, which I liked a lot... Yes, it's a decal. The kit's body comes with the CORVETTE letters done as raised letters but there is also a decal included for those who want to make it easy on themselves... The decal looked good, so I sanded down the raised letters and used it. I'm happy with it!

Hi folks, some months ago, I did the Revell kit of the '62 Corvette Roadster. I think the kit is great and the only issue I was facing was replacing the "chrome" on the kit's parts by something looking a bit more "real"... Hope you like it, here we go:

I've always liked it aswell. The most beautiful part for me are the headlights, the same which have been used for the later Lambo Diablo vintages (after 2000). But what makes you say the car was "heavy"? Do you mean the actual weight, which was around 1500 kg, which I do not consider heavy for a fully equipped high-tech sportscar of the 90's...

First of all, hats off! Your work is looking awesome and it's perfectly using the aftermarket parts. As regards the seats, you will find all kinds of images of several materials on the internet. The most popular being some kind of thinner cloth, I think. So I would rather stick to just painting the seats (no flocking). Btw, on some of your images the seats look as if they could use another layer of blue paint (or is it only an effect on the photos?). Keep up the excellent work!

Nicely done, and a great choice of color! Much better in dark blue than the usual red! As regards the front end design, well, I think that Koenig's design has mostly aimed rather for optical distinction and aggressiveness than beauty. Personally I only fully like the Koenig Testarossa Competition and the Porsche 928 widebody. A matter of personal taste, as always...

Well, these "guidelines to success" have been properly selected and put together, Rob. There is a lot of truth to them, yet you have made them very entertaining. My favourite passage being: 8. Poor use of Bare Metal Foil. Nobody is an expert at this right off the bat. Like painting it takes a bit of practice. Get a ’58 Impala and get busy. By the time you finish it, you should be fairly competent with the stuff and in need of a drink. As I have just had my first "intense" experiences with applying BMF to a Jaguar XJ-S (it doesn't necessarily take the Impala, I can tell you), I know exactly what you mean. Also about that drink...

Hi there, as the Fujimi Pantera GTS has been the kit I recently finished, I'd like to say a few words on that. It's true, it's merely curbside and not very detailed. Yet when building it, you notice it's a modern kit. It fits just perfectly and is very nice to build. There are two versions available (separate kits actually), the standard Pantera and the Pantera GTS. The main difference being that the GTS requires some skills in masking for the black areas on the hood, bonnet and the side of the car. Below you can see my result. BR Thomas
