  1. Many thanks for your kind words, I appreciate it!
  2. Many thanks guys, I appreciate your feedback! Thanks David. These are the 2 Tamiya Countach kits, with some modifications. See the link below. I would say that the LP400 (the copper/gold-colored one) was my best paint job last year!
  3. Many thanks to all of you guys for your kind words!
  4. My thoughts exactly. I also dig the Monkeemobile!
  5. Hi there, I started building Formula 1 cars this year, which can be satisfying, but it definitely takes a lot of time to build one. This is one of the reasons I did not manage to build more last year... Here's the results: BMW 325i Sauber-Mercedes C9 "AEG Olympia" 1988 Porsche 962C Joest Racing "Blaupunkt" Lotus Esprit S1 Peugeot 905 EV 1 bis Lamborghini Countach LP 400 Lamborghini Countach LP 400S Benetton B188 Ferrari F1-87/88C McLaren MP4/7 Mercedes-Benz 190E Evo II Chevrolet Camaro SS LE1 2017
  6. Many thanks Jeff and Carl!
  7. Happy New Year and many thanks!
  8. Hi all, this is built from the AMT snap kit, which is mostly very nice. The only downside is the glass part, which is looking very "chunky" on the side. That is why I opted to cut out the side window parts and display them opened. Another modification is the carbon foil which I applied onto the roof. Painted in Tamiya TS-42 and 1K clear.
  9. Hi Claude, many thanks, this is a great compliment, especially coming from you!
  10. AMC Javelin AMC AMX '67 Eldorado '62 Chrysler 300
  11. Wow, I am tempted to utter the odd "show us the model, these are real car pics"-blah blah... This is just looking fantastic. I am not really a big fan of Mr. Gordon M. and his recent antics, but you make this look brilliant in every way! I gather you have used 2k clear for the finish?
  12. Thanks a lot Carl and David.
  13. Many thanks again, I appreciate it!
  14. Many thanks guys!
  15. AMG Mercedes-Benz DTM C-Class, Tamiya kit, built in 1995. I built lots of other stuff by that time, but this is the only kit I deemed good to enough to keep during my 20-year hiatus from modelling. Painted with Tamiya acrylics, so not the UV-resistant clearcoat you can get these days. And this was sitting on the window sill in the sunlight for quite some time before I boxed it, so no surprise the decals look the way they do.
  16. Hi there, this was a "quick fun build" inbetween rather exhausting F1 projects. Long story short, the kit is a rather strange mix between the road version (that the boxart is depicting) and the DTM race version. The interior is flawed, again, with a funny mix of race and road car parts. Therefore I painted it black and focussed on getting the exterior looks right. The kit contained the 5 spoke road car wheels with slicks (!) but I opted to use a set of BBS RS LM 18 inch wheels with road tyres anyway. It took some effort to get the stance right, but I think it worked out in the end. I used aluminium ferrules for the exhaust pipes. BMF was used on the front grille. Although all 502 cars were painted in blue black, I chose to paint mine in "brilliant silver" instead. Tamiya TS-17 and 1K clear have been used to that purpose.
  17. Many thanks for your kind words. I'm happy you like it. Thanks Rich. Yes, I used TS-36 sprayed through the airbrush. Masking the read areas was done using BMF for having sharp edges. The base is Tamiya TS-101 Base White. By now I use this for all white bodies I paint. The beauty about it is that it's technically a white primer but it is glossy. So no extra white paint is required and you can apply decals right onto it.
  18. Hi there, this is my first kit with tobacco decals on it. Decals are from Shunko. Paint is Tamiya spray and 1K clear. I used carbon fibre decals for the monocoque and replaced the kit's air intake funnels with selfmade metal parts.
  19. That is a fantastic-looking Camaro, great work all around. When I will come around to building my (Foose) 1/12 scale kit one day, I will definitely skip all the Foose stuff and build it as "pure" a Z28 as possible.
  20. Fantastic work and result! I have just ordered this kit, albeit in smaller (1/20) scale. ?
