  1. I would go with the regular sections seeing that a road race car wouldn't technically "fit" into the two race car categories as provided.
  2. No, the Sunliner script is still there just like the original. Won't be an issue for me either. Nice job there on you 'liner Steve. Real sharp. Looking forward to your '61 88 build. Also one of my favorite body styles.
  3. I ordered this 61 Starliner with interior tub and glass directly from Jimmy Flintstone, I was going to chop the roof off it and use it on my 62 Merc project but it won't fit and this casting is too nice to sacrifice anyway. He threw in two extra sets of glass and these guys as "free stuff". Thank you! I have a donor 61 boxtop kit to use for it and I think it will make into a sharp custom rod.
  4. Thank you, same to ya'll. Beauty day here too in NW FL.
  5. That Caddy looks interesting. They sure are getting their money's worth out of that T-Bolt tool, but that's a good thing, that kit has a great high riser 427 and some other real good parts.
  6. Thanks Chris. It's been a while since I first started this one but IIRC there were no inner fenders or shock towers in this kit. I could be wrong but at any rate I don't have them if it did.
  7. Thanks JC, No, I cobbled them together myself then made castings.
  8. Agreed. Got my copy the other day. Great issue as always.
  9. WOW! That's a beautiful work of art. To me every element and detail of it is just perfect. Well done!
  10. Great save and transformation to an A12!
  11. Very cool and somewhat nostalgic for me...I spent much of my childhood in Maspeth (late 50's-early 60's). Nice job on the dio!
  12. Thanks Steve. To lower the rear I carefully saw off the leaf springs and clean up the cut areas. I make up some lowering blocks from scrap styrene then glue everything back together, keeping it square. Then depending on how low the drop is I C notch the frame above the axle. You can see the finished assembly here in this in progress pic. Thanks for asking and good luck with your build!
  13. Thank you Bernard! Just for nostalgia's sake here's the '36 you referenced in your post above. This is the one that got me hooked on this style of build.
  14. Thanks, I will. Already pulled another one out of the box and scattered it the bench. Stay tuned.
  15. Came out great Bob. I definitely enjoy this this style of build and you sir never disappoint! I like the FL tag you made for it. Well done.
  16. Many thanks all for your good words on this build. Greatly appreciated! I'm glad if I provided some inspiration. These type of builds are fun and rewarding.
  17. Finished up this morning, the latest in my vintage box art build series. After the 40 Ford Trophy kits this one is by far my next favorite of the old AMT kits. My idea was to build the red box art custom. I've been wanting to do this one for some time. I built one when I was kid when the kit first came out.... this one looks a little better. I know these type of builds are not everyone's "cup of tea" and come across as simplistic to others and I get that. For those that like this sort of thing hope you enjoy viewing it as much as I did building it! Thanks for looking. As always comments, questions and discussion welcome.
  18. Very cool approach. Excellent details and paint. Well done!
  19. I'd be in for an accurate kits of these
  20. Graduated in '72. Don't miss anyone or anything from it. Never been to a reunion. Best to let sleeping dog lie. IMHO LOL
  21. Yep. And the first issue of this kit the "Little T" had still different headers.
