  1. One more vote for ordering direct from Auslowe. The last time I did so was about six weeks from order to delivery.
  2. Great job, and thanks for posting this! I think it's the first time I've seen a Fast 111's kit built.

  19. Finally adding a proper Decepticon to my 1/24 Transformers collection. The cab and chassis are Italeri's Volvo F12 kit, converted to a dual drive and given a small facelift. The mixer is from the AMT Kenworth/Challenge kit, with the parts rearranged to better fit the Volvo chassis. Lots of scratchbuilding and kitbashing to get everything to fit together, then painted Design Master Olive Bright and Tamiya TS-24 Purple to recreate the iconic Constructicon colors. A full writeup of the build is available here, and as always any comments/criticisms are welcome! ...and for anyone not familiar with the source material, here it is with the character that inspired it:
  20. You're right on that. Plus, the Auslowe set is better than most I've seen. But this type of latch has always looked a little flat to me when done in PE, and I find adding some thin styrene to correct the flange shape is an easier task for me. I have a feeling it's a YMMV situation, so just throwing out some further options.
  21. Excellent job on this! Thanks also for detailing the colors you used, it's very helpful.
