  1. That turned out great!
  2. Great looking car, nice work!
  3. Thanks! Funny you say that...I bought a parts donor Warthog off eBay because mine didn't have a windshield. I had assumed I just misplaced it somewhere in the years between buying and building it, but now I wonder if it was a QC issue and Revell forgot to include it in some kits.
  4. Great to see one of these done up so well, nice work!
  5. Excellent work!
  6. Outstanding work on a beautiful car!
  7. Great job on this!
  8. Great looking builds!
  9. Beautiful work on this, that finish is outstanding!
  10. Outstanding work! I particularly like the weld beads, nice to see what the Hobby Design parts look like in action.
  11. Thanks, guys! Excellent restoration! And it shows that if I really wanted to be accurate, I should have left that horizontal break in place! ? Thanks! The wheels were one of the major sticking points before I could get started, since I wanted to capture the look as close as possible while still being at least sort of realistic (it's hard to see here, but there is a backing plate with lugnuts between each spoke). They're something I drew up and had 3D printed at Shapeways, then painted them black and finished the faces with Bare Metal Foil.
  12. Thanks, guys!
  13. Awesome work, congrats to her!
  14. Excellent work, I'd like to find one of these some day!
  15. Built from Revell's snap kit. I didn't want to have another green Warthog on theshelf, so I did this one up in the game's "Tundra" camouflage. The figure is from Valkyrie Hobby, and while not exactly to scale - she's 1/24 and the Warthog is about 1/28 - it's close enough for me. A full writeup of what I did is available here, and as always any comments/criticisms are welcome!
  16. Very well done!
  17. Very tidy work, that flip nose turned out fantastic!

This was always one of my favorite liveries, nice job on it!
  19. Fantastic build, very clean work!
  20. A project that's been on my "to do" list for a while, building replicas of some of my favorite Hot Wheels Cars. I figured I'd start with the original "Sweet 16," and their take on Bill Cushenbery's Silhouette show car. I reworked the body to be one piece, filled in the panel seams, and added the front fenders. Paint is Tamiya Clear Red over Titanium Silver in an attempt to recreate the Spectraflame look, and while it wasn't entirely successful I'm calling it a learning experience. A full writeup of my work is available here, and as always any comments/criticisms are welcome! Engine is painted in various metallics to recreate the look of the diecast block, with intakes made from craft eyelets: The interior was originally a single white plastic piece, so I painted everyhing white or silver, with embossing powder carpeting and my own gauge face: Photo with Mattel's 1/24 Spoilers, released a few years ago:
