The Finishers paints have finally arrived from Japan, these will be used for the build review on the KA Models Mazda K360 pick up, when I've decided on the colour scheme, nice touch was the free paint stand, I can't wait to get back to Japan again in 2 years time to celebrate my 60th....

Windshield frame fitted to the body shell, using a few small amounts of epoxy resin held in place with rubber band, now I could fix the body to the chassis, again a few small amounts of epoxy resin did the trick.

No thinners, just used straight out of the can.

The only time I've used Rustoleum paint on a model was some Stainless steel I had left over from a different job, I knew spraying it from the can would be a nightmare to try and spray the side trim panels on the 57 Bel Air, so j decanted it and airbrushed it, sprayed a treat, like everything I decant from the can, I pop a pin hole towards the top of the can and once the gas has escaped I agitate the paint until it no longer boils, then it's time to pop it into a glass bottle The aerosol can I've photographed here is a different brand, but it doesn't matter what brand of paint it is, I use the same method.

Nit a great deal done over the last few days, but I did get the exterior door handles and locks painted

Aluminium Bare Metal foil all finished

Roof rack dry fitted in place, then finally fitted onto the Safari roof panel, along with the spare wheel, when I build another one for myself I'll be leaving the roof rack and spare wheel off.

The more I looked at them and photos of the 1:1, I decided that you were correct about the hubs needing to be done in satin black, so I've given them a coat of semi matt clearcoat on top of the matt black

I was talking about the back up lamps, that you can see molded into the bottom lens, not the lenses themselves

Molotow liquid chrome for the buckets, followed by a little Tamiya clear yellow to pick out the bulb, just makes it look a little more realistic.

After fixing the dashboard and bulkhead into the bodyshell, I hadn't checked if everything still lined up with the chassis, luckily it does, looking more like a Land Rover now....

A little more progress.....

Absolutely superb build.....

I actually think my brush painting is getting better, not long ago I would have masked up the bodyshell to airbrush the black for the window seals, I decided to brush paint them instead, using Tamiya Rubber black acrylic (XF-85), the bonnet catch was picked out using Tamiya Titanium Gold, the front window was just dry fitted in place.

Back to the Land Rover, from windshield frame first painted body colour, clearcoated and then the main frame was covered in aluminium Bare Metal foil, the inner rubber seals were picked out with Tamiya XF-85, Rubber black, the fresh air intake grille panel lines were picked out by using Tamiya black panel line accent color, using a 2/0 brush, i find the brush supplied in the lid to be way too wide.
