Paragraph structure “rules” dictate that it have an opening sentence, followed by supporting sentences and a closing sentence….assuming of course that the composer can form a proper sentence.

Model building versus other hobbies

More like playing golf with rental clubs. Sometimes the only set you can get are mismatched, the wrong hand or the putter is missing.? -

Many times I’ve gotten frustrated with a model and then it winds up back on the shelf, then I take it down and start over, only to get annoyed again, and then it winds up back in the box again.?

Sorry for your loss Jeff.?

I broke one of the spindles when trying to remove the drag link so that I could change springs. I glued it back on, but it seemed a little fragile, so I drilled them both and inserted a piece of .035” welding wire for strength. I have made a mold to cast these modified brake rotors that I have and added them to the wheels. The bottom of the bed floor has no details at all, so I scribed in the plank seams and added some cross members like the Revell ‘65 Chevy has. -

Thanks Guys!? -
Yes, it can be painted. I have sprayed it with flat clear also to protect it. Edit: This is actually two coats of embossing powder. The first coat was a bit patchy, so I sprayed it with clear, then more glue and another layer of powder, then more clear.

Neato! I like it.? -
If the bike has a torque sensing system, then the motor just adds to the effort the rider is putting in according to the power level that is set. I believe all mid-drive bikes have and some if not all rear-hub motor bikes have torque sensors. I ride my electric bike far more often than my regular bike now. If it’s really windy outside, it doesn’t matter, I’ll go anyways.

Who took over Scenes unlimited
NOBLNG replied to junkyardjeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Lots of nice Big Rig stuff there, but I don’t see any 4x4 tires or any Scenes Unlimited products there unfortunately.? https://stsupplyco.com/ -

Embossing powder can be gotten at Micheals. Also craft shops that sell supplies for making greeting cards will most likely have it. The original purpose of the powder is to be sprinkled on the wet ink on a card, and then melted to create raised plasticized lettering. And of course there is Amazon.?

Thanks!? For the rear I moved the front spring mounts to the top of the frame instead of the bottom. It gets me just enough drop I think. I could increase the shackle length to get a bit more if needed. -

I just bought some of that and it is really thick…pretty much the same as any white PVA glue. I wonder if it would still work well if thinned down so that it could wick into the seam a bit? My favourite is Model Master clear parts cement and window maker, but it is no longer produced and I am getting low on it.

Play around with different paint techniques until you find something that works.

CanPar is crappy too! I have a new gazebo coming in 3 cartons. Their tracking app said they would be delivered Monday “by end of day”. Late Monday afternoon I finally got ahold of someone and they said that date was “just an estimate” and the delivery would be Tuesday. So Tuesday only two of three cartons show up. So I have to sit around again today waiting for a third day.? And it’s storming slightly here today, so I can see them possibly using it as an excuse to make me wait for a fourth day?
