Amt Crew Chief Blazer
NOBLNG replied to NOBLNG's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Thanks Guys. It is a nice kit, but needs a bit of extra work.? -
Thanks Les, and thank you Matt for the build link. I think I will try to snag it if it’s still available.?

Is this kit worth $50? I have no experience with Fujimi kits…are they accurate and go together well? The seller says it is very rare, although I would want to build it rather than have it sit on the shelf. Any info or opinions appreciated, Thanks.?

I had fun with this one. It’s a nice looking kit, but it is missing some items and some parts are WAY out of scale.? Luckily I didn’t have the roof warpage that seems to plague these kits. I opened the grill and used the 427 from the Yenko Camaro. Resin parts include TH400 tranny and NP205 transfer case, front and rear diffs, wheels, brake booster, battery, radiator and air cleaner. Tires are from the Revell Jeep Wrangler. Scratch built parts include exhaust system, shocks, driveshafts, roll cage, interior arm rests, window cranks, door handles, pedals, shifter, heater box and side mirrors. Lots of other parts box and modified kit pieces. Paint is AK RC016 Ochre and Mr. Hobby UV cut clear. The roof is Tamiya fine white primer and semi gloss clear. I’m glad it’s done!? Thanks for looking!? Build thread here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/158387-blazer-crew-chief/

Well I am calling this one done.? I managed to scratch out a couple of mirrors and a hood latch mechanism. I just have to clean it up a bit and add some license plates before posting it under glass. pics under glass here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/177842-amt-crew-chief-blazer/ -
