Now that I’ve caught up to the last sentence I guess I’ll get up and make some coffee.

Once you’ve built a ‘41 Plymouth you can’t undo the experience.😬 I’m doing my best to avoid ‘40s subjects for awhile. I’ll watch this one though and get my pain vicariously.😎

Great work as always Donald!👍 mine had a severely damaged windshield frame also. Check the glass fit, I seem to recall it not fitting? Here’s a link to my minimal thread. https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/143270-porsche-911-cabriolet/#comment-2105280

Regard it if you didn’t gard it properly in the first place.

Trail mix can make a nice healthy snack.

Some people have trouble following simple instructions, which in the model building world can lead to disastrous glue-bombs or awesomely beautiful creations.

Automobile repair mechanics get a bad rap due to the greed and/or incompetence of relatively small number.

Now the weather channel tells us to expect +4C on tuesday….that’s 39.2F for those of you who are metrically challenged.😎

Beautiful work Steve. That is indeed a nice engine…I put one in my T-Bird. I like the colored accents to tie things together too.👍😎

No Kurt, the black stuff is sprue glue made with the spue from the same kit. When completely dry (which takes a long time even in the dehydrator) it should have the same consistency as the rest of the body…not that it matters since I have used Evergreen also. Edit: You should get back on that Mercedes Kurt, it is coming along nicely!😎

Thanks! No I was not aware of that car but was wondering what Jim meant in his first response. I did however run across your old build today. I was thinking that the Corvette coves might clash with the rear fender bulges….but it looks good on yours.

Not his fault…the cat put him up to it….they are such instigators.🙄

This is the first time I’ve tried it and I just had one of the A pillars break loose…so I recommend experimenting with it on a junk body. Edit: here’s a link to Doug Whyte’s video where I got the idea. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uupXs7M1R6s

Thanks! Old school cheapo.

I made a windshield blank from a pop can, taped it in place and then added some Milliput to blend the A pillars in. I corrected the hood corners and re-engineered the door/A-pillar/ hood interface. I had to trim about 1/8” off the rear edge of the roof to get a smooth glass angle. I’ve made glass patterns from card stock so I should be able to make new glass from clear flat sheet. Also removed all the chrome trim…not sure yet if I will replace it with smaller half round?

I prefer a “welded” seam wherever possible. JMO.
