When I was 16 (1977) I had a chance to buy a 1956 BelAir convertible sitting in a farmers field for $500.00. The roof was shot and interior in bad shape. But there was not a speck of rust on it because it had a tow bar on the front and 1964 California plates on it. Being 16, I wanted something I could drive so I bought a โ67 Falcon instead.๐ -
Cool video! Thanks for posting it. I sent it on to my buddy that has a train setup in his garage.๐

Thanks for your interest, encouragement and patience everyone!๐ I am kinda making this up as I go alongโฆtrying to fix issues as they arise.๐ฅด Iโve never really been good at making a plan and sticking to it. I have a general idea of where I want to go but usually wind up changing tack a number of times due to unforeseen issues or just whims.๐คช

Nice work Seth! I really like the engine and your home built turbo setup!๐๐

Itโs looking real nice Len!๐ I like the newspaper bundles.๐

I think Iโd have the same issues mounting the grill and radiator. I donโt like the raised spring mount thoughโฆI think it looks a bit scary.๐ฌ

And I managed to keep the full height of the grill and it doesnโt sit too high in relation to the body in my eye.๐ค

Well I had a bit of a conundrum about how to mount the radiator and grill. Moving the axle out in front of the frame rails creates a problem for both the grill and the steering system.๐คฏ At first I had the grill shaved and tucked in between the frame and axle. That left no space for the tie rod. The solution that I finally decided on was to move the grill out in front of the axle. Very limited suspension travel now, so I will have to avoid speed bumps.๐ฌ I sectioned the kit radiator and mounted it backwards in the grill shell. Then I used thin CA to glue some fine mesh to a piece of.010โ styrene sheet for the front of the radiator. The new setup leaves lots of room for the tie rod and whatever fan setup I decide on. Thanks for your Patience everyone.๐ฅด
