  1. I don’t have a single favourite, but this is one of them.
  2. Women don’t come in that version.🙄
  3. Can’t help, but here is a pic of the GMC 426/503 on the left and a GMC 302 on the right. It’s a huge beast!😬 And here is a pic of the GMC V-12 in a hotrod. I believe Texas 3d makes both the V6 and V12 version.
  4. The V8 hubcaps are in the Revell/Monogram ‘37 ford pickup kit, but the wheels are artillery…not wire.
  5. “I’m a chasing a g——-n maniac”
  6. I also found this, but didn’t buy it. I don’t know if it’s complete or not…I imagine it would be for that price.😬
  7. Requirements from me decreased substantially when I retired.
  8. Picked this up today for $10 at the local flea market. It’s complete except for the wheels and tires. I don’t need the wheels and tires anyways, since I bought it specifically for doing a build inspired by this picture.
  9. The only use I can see is changing lanes when the jerk in front of you puts his left turn signal on just as the light turns green.🤬
  10. I don’t, but a link to the eBay site may help someone else identify them?
  11. This was just a cheap pressure pot from Princess Auto. If you’re going to cast under pressure though, I think it is necessary to de-gas the mold silicone. When I first did this Willys hood it wound up with a whole bunch of goosebumps on it because the mold silicon was not degassed.
  12. For some reason I can’t edit the previous post. I have a piece of plate glass that I put double sided tape on and stick my parts to it then build a dam with legos. Third pic is looking at the underside of the glass. The small mold is Dennis’s weber carbs…I had to slit that mold in order to get them out, then I put the legos back around that mold when casting. Last pic…I use a chisel blade to pry the parts off and nippers to clip any remaining nubs off. Then drag them across a large file to get them perfectly flat.
  13. Sure.🙂 I do use a paint pressure pot that I converted to use as a vacuum chamber for degassing the silicone. And then I cast the resin at just under 60 psi pressure. I try to make one part molds whenever possible…It’s just a lot easier. After putting the resin in the mold, I cover it with a piece of perforated metal so that the pressure can get to the resin (not sure if it works better than a solid plate, but it works for me).
  14. Parts often fly out of my tweezers and into oblivion.
  15. It’s best to wash the body before primer also with soap and water or a mild abrasive like Comet in order to get rid of any mold release that may be present.
  16. Looks like it was lucky to find you Jeff!😎
  17. This one didn’t last long.
  18. I just had to google this….it’s actually “liquid tire chain”. https://www.motorious.com/articles/features-3/liquid-tire-chain/
  19. Over the last few days I’ve been casting a parts. I offered to cast some carbs for Dennis and since it’s tough to mix up only 8 drops of resin, I figured I would build up my stock of parts for future builds.😎
  20. Digging were they, because Big Jim plugged the plumbing in the outhouse?
  21. I finally figured out how to get some sort of interior into this wedge shaped body. I made a tracing of the frame rails on the floor pan then scribed the floorpan partially through dead center of the frame. Then I glued the floor pan to the body, cut the center portion free and glued it to the frame. Now I can get a minimal interior installed in separate sections…one attached to the body and one attached to the floorpan. It may be a little unorthodox, but I have no idea how else to deal with it.🤯
  22. You’re welcome Dennis.🙂 With a little TLC these should be useable.
  23. Congrats. Either two little presents or one big one.🙂
