Regard it if you didnāt gard it properly in the first place.

Some people have trouble following simple instructions, which in the model building world can lead to disastrous glue-bombs or awesomely beautiful creations.

Automobile repair mechanics get a bad rap due to the greed and/or incompetence of relatively small number.

Now the weather channel tells us to expect +4C on tuesdayā¦.thatās 39.2F for those of you who are metrically challenged.š

Beautiful work Steve. That is indeed a nice engineā¦I put one in my T-Bird. I like the colored accents to tie things together too.šš

No Kurt, the black stuff is sprue glue made with the spue from the same kit. When completely dry (which takes a long time even in the dehydrator) it should have the same consistency as the rest of the bodyā¦not that it matters since I have used Evergreen also. Edit: You should get back on that Mercedes Kurt, it is coming along nicely!š

Thanks! No I was not aware of that car but was wondering what Jim meant in his first response. I did however run across your old build today. I was thinking that the Corvette coves might clash with the rear fender bulgesā¦.but it looks good on yours.

Not his faultā¦the cat put him up to itā¦.they are such instigators.š

This is the first time Iāve tried it and I just had one of the A pillars break looseā¦so I recommend experimenting with it on a junk body. Edit: hereās a link to Doug Whyteās video where I got the idea. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uupXs7M1R6s

Thanks! Old school cheapo.

I made a windshield blank from a pop can, taped it in place and then added some Milliput to blend the A pillars in. I corrected the hood corners and re-engineered the door/A-pillar/ hood interface. I had to trim about 1/8ā off the rear edge of the roof to get a smooth glass angle. Iāve made glass patterns from card stock so I should be able to make new glass from clear flat sheet. Also removed all the chrome trimā¦not sure yet if I will replace it with smaller half round?

I donāt believe the āvoteā was against it. The more I refine it the better it looks in my eye. The slanted B pillar does give it a slightly Chevy or Plymouth vibe?ā¦not a bad thing I think, but die-hard Ford fans may get their panties in a knot?š³ I figured it deserves its own thread in case I continue to pursue it.

Way to persevere Micah! It sure seems to be fighting youā¦particularly frustrating when itās supposed to be a slump buster build..š„“ Itās looking good now!š

Now that I look closer, I guess the PVC is only an exhaust baffle of sorts for when he releases the pressure. The supply must be piped in at the back or somewhere. -
