  1. Nice work adapting that chassis Bob.?
  2. I think there is a wide spectrum of modelers between those two extremes. JMO, Greg.
  3. Here is some good info on that airbrush. https://sites.google.com/site/donsairbrushtips/paasche-
  4. Big Thanks to you Dave and the other moderators for all the efforts you put in. It seems to be working fine now.?
  5. What model Paasche is it?
  6. It depends on the parts. I will sometimes spray a coat of primer on a tree full of small parts. Then remove them and clean up the now easily visible mold lines. Then paint them individually. Whatever works…but mold lines and ejection pin nubs MUST be removed and sink marks filled. Touch-ups must be done if needed. That said, I am not trying to win any trophies.?
  7. By the time you buy new decals (if you can find them) and repair damage done by disassembly you’ll be better off with a new kit.
  8. Yes, nice work on the hood. I have one of these so I will keep checking in to see where it goes.?
  9. Four model builds going on at one time is a minimum.
  10. That turned out absolutely beautiful Steve!? I like the use of a straight six as opposed to the standard sbc. I also like what you did with the stock wheels, low profile tires and suspension work to get that stance. Very cool!?
  11. It’s looking good David.?
  12. Too bad about the T-Bird paint job Jim, but the roadster is looking really nice.?
  13. That is looking fabulous Bruce!?
  14. Maybe put that spare T-Bird roof on it Jim.?
  15. Beautiful looking car! And it looks like you’re doing it justice.?? Who made that kit…Fujimi?
  16. I hogged out most of the exhaust with a 1/8” end mill in my drill press. Then some careful whittling with a #18? Exacto Chisel blade, then some curved needle files and some scraping with the same modified hobby blade that I used on the side molding. Thanks for the compliments Carl.? Thanks Jim. Does the ‘57 come with a half roof? If not, I’m sure you could use the back 1/4 of the Nomad roof. Just cut a chunk out and move it forward. I’ll do my best to answer any questions you may have.?
  17. Thanks Guys! I don’t plan on getting crazy with it. I just want to correct deficiencies, add some details that are lacking, install some nice wheels and tires, and hopefully get a decent paint job on it.? Edit: At least that’s the plan as of today.?
  18. VWs should be 4 lug. I don’t know if they ever came with steelies.
  19. Thanks DJ. Dig it out and get started on it.? Thanks Dennis! Yeah, the fit of that roof was BAD.? Thanks for the offer…I think I have all I need. But the cappuccino sounds good.?
  20. There is a mold seam running right down the center of the front fender chrome trim that needs to be removed. I used a modified hobby blade and a piece of 26ga. metal to carefully scrape it out.?
  21. Thanks Bob. I like those colors but as usual, I won’t know what color mine will be until I start spraying.? Thanks Jason. Slicing and dicing can be addictive.?
