This didn't give me a 0 options. I tried saying "customer service" and "live advisor" but that didn't work. It's so sad you can't get to a real human being at any level at any business. Insurance companies. Hospitals. Stores. The list goes on.

I agree with you Bill. This stove is 20 years old. Looks brand new. Has self cleaning but I've only used that twice in 20 years. Concerns me that an oven gets so hot it cleans itself. But friends make fun of me because it's so clean. The one I had before was in the house I bought at that time. When I sold that house I left the stove because it was olive green. LOL. No Joe. Not cable ready. Maybe if it was it could communicate with Sears Direct by itself and get self diagnosed. LOL

I found out this morning you can not connect with a human being at Sears Direct customer service. You only get computerized options. So chatting is the only option. At least they are sending me another one to try. I hate not being about to talk to a real live person in situations like this.

I was just on-line with an agent and they are sending me another on. She stated it was the correct board. She tried to tell me it was the ignitor or the gas valve. But when I told her I put the old one back in and the oven lit. She said they would send me a replacement. So hopefully the new one works. My oven works but it doesn't maintain a set heating degree. That's why I ordered it. On a different note. The repairman was here this morning to replace the main LED light in my Whirlpool refrigerator. They would go out or strobe like a 70's disco. When he came a week ago I told him the freezer light has an LED out. Each unit has 4 LEDs. He said that wouldn't make the problem. It's always the main light in the refrigerator. So he installed the main light and the refrigerator lights worked but the freezer didn't. When they strobed. All the lights strobed. So he took the old main light and swapped it with the freeze light and it came on. I guess the freezer light was the issue. LOL

I got it from Sears Direct. They verified it was the replacement part I needed. With the replacement in. The clock worked and the oven light would come on. But the electronic hot surface igniter in the oven never came on. So I took the replacement part back out. Put the old one back in. And the oven lit. So either it's a defective part or it's not compatible with my stove.

I will try that. Thank you Craig. Also. On my 64 Comet. On the rear quarter panel. The chrome trim splits by the door and there is a large line running back to the tail lights. But a very thin trim line goes down and then straight back. It is as thin as a piece of tread so I can't foil it. Would you suggest putting a thin line of foil on before the last coat of paint and then gently remove the paint on that line to expose the foil?

I was trying to do the side trim. The knife kept wondering so then I tried masking tape and the chrome pen. Looks good until I took the tape off. The chrome pen leached under the tape.

I’m calling Sears tomorrow since they told me this was the replacement part. But we all know Sears is hardly in existence now.

I did and the part I bought was the one to replace it. But as you can see I edited my post and it doesn't work. And they had in the purchase order "only none used parts" could be returned for a refund.

I had to purchase a new control board for our Kenmore gas range. I'm stuck on 2 wires. On the original board the red wire went to a terminal labeled LI. The white wire went to a terminal labeled "NEU", I know the red is the power source and the white is the neutral. On the new board they have an "AC in" terminal and a "line" terminal? Would the red wire go to "AC in" terminal and the white to the "Line" terminal? Any help will be appreciated. Never mind. I tried the red to ac in an the hie to line. Plugged it in. Set the clock. Everything looked fine. I had planned on cooking and boneless turkey breast for dinner and turned the oven on. The oven light turned red and I waited. And waited. The oven never lit. So there's $200 down the drain. Ugh.
