I’m taking all of the bread ties and chip clips, all the paper labels off the canned goods and 3/8” from one leg of every table and chair.

RIVIERA ROYALE: a heavily customized coachbuilt 1966 Buick Riviera
BeakDoc replied to Claude Thibodeau's topic in Model Cars
That is some fantabulously imaginative and well crafted styrene witchery, Claude. It looks like something that sprang to life straight from the pages of a Philip K Dick novel. Kudos, sir. The interior is way cool and I really dig what’s going on under the hood. -
Google search is becoming trash; here's why
BeakDoc replied to Ace-Garageguy's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
So, Bill, I took you up on that challenge, my friend. I’m sure you’ll get a chuckle from learning that a link to this very topic was ninth in the search “results” roll call. ? -

Didn’t really know where to post this.(Barrett Jackson)
BeakDoc replied to NYLIBUD's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I usually enjoy the earlier days of the coverage. I find that there’s a wider variety of cool stuff on those days. I tried to watch on Saturday but 3 hours of nothing but resto-mod Tri-Fives, Corvettes, Broncos/Blazers and Mustangs with just a sprinkling of anything different was more than I could stand. And just when it looks like something cool is about to roll up on the block…. Let’s go to April in the staging area so she can preview yet another Bronco with the alacrity of a 12 year old giving an oral book report on a book she didn’t read. -
How big is your... stash?
BeakDoc replied to Pierre Rivard's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
A gentleman never tells…. That said, I carry myself with what the youngsters call “big stash energy.” My wife tells me it’s the biggest she’s ever seen, for what that’s worth I plan to build every kit I have other than the small handful of “parts kits.” -
Model Roundup Coupon Codes?
BeakDoc replied to JollySipper's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I’m not sure if Jack at MR has kids or not. If so, I’ve probably put one thru college. I’ve been emailed coupon codes twice. One was $5 off my next order and one was free shipping. Admittedly MR is a tad higher than many online sources, but I usually have my order on the doorstep in 2-3 days and the customer service; should an issue arise; is top notch, so they are my “go to” dealers. -
Awesome Crate, David! I’ve hot one in the stash to take a second crack at one of these days. I remember this kit beating me to a pulp as a youngster. Beautiful build!

A whole bunch to like about this build, starting with the color choice and paint finish.

That right there is high quality stuff, Lee! Beauty of a build all the way around. Then there’s the Slant Six….. i heard trumpets playing and angels singing! Did you source the ‘six from a Lindberg Belvedere?
-
Stellar build, Gareth! I always liked the 3rd generation Chargers. While the Hi Impact colors on this body style really trip my trigger, I really dig your paint choice. Great to see a fresh build from you.

How to: Magnetic Alignment Board
BeakDoc replied to Joe Nunes's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Useful!!!!! Thanks for posting this, Joe. -
I won’t speak to how rare it may or may not be, but $50 is a fair price in my eyes. Don’t be intimidated by the parts count as it goes together like a dream. The only thing I’d warn you about is that the front cowl is very delicate. Mine broke while polishing out the clear coat. If you like 356s, I think you’ll find that it was money well spent.

Hogwash; at $12.99 per 9 oz bottle, no less; is a complete ripoff, especially when a dollop of Dawn dish soap will get them piggies clean and fresh as a daisy.

I like pi pie. It’s the same, only never ending. My top 3 would be: Moonshiners, Delivery and Music-themed. -
