  1. Update. working nights allows me time to burn the midnight oil on Sunday nights guilt free as my Wife is sleeping for the night. I had a lindberg Belvidere body in the ole purple pond that I decided to go with. Made lots of progress, still needs some massaging but I'm happy with the result's thus far. Early on in the night the body broke apart. I think that made it easier going back together. ?
  2. Nice and clean build, will be checking back on the progress.
  3. I have a built engine you can have. If you want it message me your address.
  4. Looking very cool, love all the details.
  5. I picked up the MPC Charger 500 molded in yellow last week for $10.00 also the 69 Daytona for $10.00. local flea-market grab.
  6. Very nice paint!!
  7. Stopped at the HS today and got my copy!! Thumbed through once already. Glad it is back!!
  8. That was very nice of your neighbor. All I get from mine is hey you got a screwdriver or jumper cables or something they need.
  9. I thought about this, it will be my last option if the roof graft does not go well.
  10. Love those Dodges, very nice progress.
  11. I picked up this old Johan 63 Plymouth convertible a few years ago at a swap meet, for some reason someone grafted different front and rear fenders on the pass side and did a pretty poor job at doing so. I cleaned up that and have been also wanting to use a Revell miss deal Studebaker chassis for a project. Since the body was pretty much toast I will see if I can use it. I started moving the rear wheel openings forward and removed all the trim, the rear fenders are just roughed in right now. For the roof I might use a lindberg color me gone since I have a good stock pile of those, I know not accurate but should look cool. Oh the windshield frame on the johan body was also toast. I think it could be a cool funky homemade style drag car. Also my goal is to not buy anything else for this, the only new kit will be the miss deal kit I already had. The lindberg kit is parts as well I will use.
  12. Nice trucks........... I'm partial to the F100's for some reason.......
  13. looks cool. Might consider one.
  14. Been a way's from stock since the 70's, its just now zero connection to stock these days and also been that way for along time. That gap has been growing pretty much since the inception of the series. The Teams push the rules so the sanctioning body creates tighter rules to prevent that.
  15. Looking good, have one in the stash.
  16. Yah this would of ran into the 80 season if memory serves me right?
  17. That is really looking good. Love the subtle weathering. The last one I built even with the lowered kit suspension still sits to high. I see another build. I have a few of the 70 Camaro's.
  18. The old trucks are so much cooler, this is very neat. will be checking back often.
  19. Still not worked on the front suspension. Will tackle that here soon. I added a black wash on the body and I think it looks a lot more distressed now. Need to had some grime but will wait to it is closer to finished. This is going to be for a diorama I have been working on here and there. I did another 56 ford earlier in the year. The hood is still a work in progress. need to come up with some kind of marking.
  20. Thanks guys!! I do have some updates just need to take some pics. Used the roll cage from the AMT torino kit. It worked like it was meant for it.
  21. Take the front air dam off of the ground so air goes under the car and brings back mechanical grip. Everything this new car is doing is creating higher corner speeds which we all know means single file follow the leader racing. They will end up adding more segments to bunch the cars up more.
  22. The way the market is now, you never know if the release will be short lived. The kits that come out that I want I grab when they are available. I would rather them sit in my model dungeon than become collectors items. A lot of revells kits have done that.
  23. Looking good Jason, I need to pick another one of these up.
  24. Looks amazing!! Mine just delivered today.
  25. Been adding to my Johan kits as I come across them. Some on ebay for decent deals but those are far and few between now. I remember being able to buy them when I was kid. My Dad bought me the 60 Desoto adventurer. Finally found that one at a swap for $50.00 a few years ago. I will be building that very soon. No mods just the way it comes. Well I will use some AMT parts pack tires. My Dad paid $5.00 for the one when I was a kid.
