  1. Looks like Zero Paints also do the yellow. https://www.hiroboy.com/Toyota_2000GT_Bendix_Yellow_Paint_60ml--product--13125.html
  2. @David G. Appreciated guys but re-read @Dpate posts. He is painting A Toyota and has now chosen Yellow.
  3. Dude I’m lost. You want to paint a 1967 Toyota with a 1959 Cadillac factory colour? You already own all of the suggested whites but would prefer to buy a rattle can with bad reviews and decant it. In the end the Yellow is a much better choice for the Toyota but your back at square one after saying would don’t want to $20 for Scalefinishes paints. im just thinking out a loud here.
  4. The first thing that come up on google. Keywords are ecopla kit. https://bandai-hobby.net/site/ecoplaproject/en/ The kits have been happening since 2008. Most are dyed black due to the coloured plastic however white kits would now have this issue. I would assume in Japan there is a recycling bin in the Hobby shops that return then to Bandai. Like the recycling bins in shopping centres for plastic bags, printer cartridges, old phones etc. Also the recycled kits are brittle when compared to the original plastic so there is that issue.
  5. I agree with @Cool Hand because the of the spoons convex shape, paint shrinkage and coverage is pretty different to paint say a car’s interior trim. Also the spoons plastic is harder then model grade styrene. Which is aid with paint solvents and maintaining that smooth shinny surface even when prep’d and primed.
  6. Scratch build or modify the kits chassis. should be able to use the rear diff and borrow/make another drive shaft from diff to tranny. I’m not should about removing the front wheel drive bits
  7. Mr Surfacer is an amazing product and you get what you pay for. I only use their 1500 surfacer. It’s has an amazing self levelling ability. I spray 1500 black over and badly orange pealed Model Master paint job. And the Mr Surfacer dry absolutely smooth. It corrected the orange peal without any sanding.
  8. Just note that the AS series of paint are either semi gloss or flat finishes.
  9. Just remember it’s a fine line between adequate depth and that smothered in honey, too thick and lost details. Best bet IMO is to lay smooth Hobby primer, smooth Hobby colour coats and then a couple of layers of smooth Hobby clear paint. The smoother the paint the less chance you need to sand.
  10. The interior looks fantastic, very clean work.
  11. You can thin it with lacquer thinner. I found the Tamiya white putty didn’t dry hard, it stayed a little soft.
  12. Sorry mate I haven’t seen the Ammo stuff for sale so I can’t help you with a link
  13. Amazing job on that stunning paint work. Nailed the Lowrider stance as well ?
  14. Mr Hobby Super Clear, it’s Lacquer and I’ve used all types and variants with great results. A little peal from the silver base. Super Clear 3 (dark blue label) No polishing.
  15. Sorry @grt222 it looks like no one on here has used the Scale Finishes primer. Although lots have used other primers. I’m sure that’s not very helpful to yourself and your problem.
  16. Did you used the Scales Finishes primer or not? I suspect the primer is quite different to the regular coloured enamels they produce.
  17. I suppose use 1mm styrene but they would be 1/2 inch maybe in 1:1 which would make it 0.5mm in scale. I’m no good with metric to imperial conversions but when working out scale for 1:24 or 1:25 kit it’s safe to say 1 inch scales down to 1mm
  18. The lowest part of the bumper.
  19. I saw some before and after pics of the UV curing and Wow that makes a difference as well.
  20. I built one as a kid and it’s a kit I would like to build again. So I will be watching this one. Is there a blue version on the box art too? I believe that’s what I copied and painted mine light/sky blue
  21. No doubt about it. Very impressive craftsmanship on that interior. Definitely no details over looked.
  22. Either the 16” TE37’s or the R32 GT-R wheels IMO. The 19” TE37’s would look like a Summernats car.
  23. @my66s55 so your saying the powder in the other video (I shared) couldn’t be applied over a gel layer that’s UV cured? Well maybe you can edit/post links to your products, list the brands, link you video you copied on your first post because no one else knew what you purchased until several posts later. It would have been very helpful
  24. I just re watched what I posted. It’s the same style of powder (I actually think it’s for finger nails) he doesn’t spray a clear coat in the video. I googled chrome finger nail powder and lots come up that don’t need a UV cured resin. It is the same thing. Apply adhesive layer, brush on the powder, buff. Enjoy chrome finish.
