Seaplane Trolly.

Because the way you explained your opinion made him feel like a 5 year old getting told off. No need to analyse and pick it apart like that. All you needed to say was “IMO the photo is a model and not 1:1) instead your lengthy post belittled Pat leaving him feeling bullied. -
Very sorry to hear!! I always enjoyed your open minded approach to try new subjects like your wide body, sticker bomb wrapped build. Dont be put off the hobby if your choose to leave the forum.

Indeed a very impressive build from a skilled builder. I haven’t seen him post anything in a while. I hope he is in good health. -
https://3dprinterly.com/how-to-print-cure-clear-resin-3d-prints-stop-yellowing/ It can be done. Most like will end up looking like frosted glass but I have seen some good results. I do not 3D print but have seen my friends using clear resins and google comes up with lots of results on the subject.

Using 600 through to 1000 finish before primer will the way the go. I can’t relate to your approach to the hobby and look forward to seeing some of those kits built. I have an Aoshima S13 with engine so I’ll be keeping your current build as you progress

If they have clear resin then yes. I had some wheels sent to me printed in clear or transparent green. It was a shame to paint them.

SMS do a ceramic scraper https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/www.scalemodeller.com.au/products/ceramic-scraper%3fview=amp The other tool you linked looks like a clay shaping/sculpting tool. -
I built this a while ago and decided it’s time to share it. I wanted to build the standard colour MS-14 Gelgoog but could only find the MS-14S kit so I decided I would build it as a test or prototype Mobile Suit before being used to its pilot Char. I picked a simple colour scheme for the frame and sourced the Mr Hobby Gundam colours to match the standard colour I wanted to use. Air brushed everything and then tried my hand at weathering. Only light damage/wear as it’s a prototype and then a lot of dirty/dust to suggest it’s been sitting around for a while. Inner frame Painted Chipped and Weathered

Who doesn't love a mock-up? Let's see yours!
Sandboarder replied to Belairconvertable's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I ruined the Model Master paint job, it dried with a lot of orange peal. So I sprayed Mr Hobby 1500 surfacer straight over the top and now it’s smooth again. No plans, I was even considering leaving it flat black. Wheels are OOB with no paint. I had only painted the brakes. -

Just a 4 door Toyota/Lexus in primer. Pretty sure the Stance is OOB as well as using the kit wheels. -

IDK it looks flawless to me. Great black paint job. BMF looks awesome on it. The stance is perfect for a classy low rider. ? -
There is but unfortunately they found it hard to set up the 3D print shop and actually more some money. So there was a limit run of replica Super Utes and a few other side projects. https://imgur.com/TMYP9uV

The Rocket Bunny over fenders fit perfect ? Just need to be careful when trimming the front guard behind the front wheel. I don’t have a pic of the BRZ with RB fenders but the front bumper is different where the over fender locates. BRZ 86 -

Here’s a few more 4 door Hakosuka with the racing wide body slammed. update of the build Something newer. Rocket Bunny 86 on some 3D printed wheels. Because I don’t just build the cars from the 60s, 70s and 80s -

I probably should try and build one. The main reason that one stalled was because I planned to paint it just like the 1:1. I do have 4-5 of these kits so maybe when the weather improves I’ll knock one out. Bosozuko gang inspired Gazelle. Once I’m more comfortable with the airbrush I’ll get them back on the bench! -

Tamiya Beetle "plated" body?

Would be a great base for a Candy paint job if you wanted to spray clear colors over the top of the chrome. -

My favourite part of modeling. Opening a new kit and testing out ideas before I even decide if I will build it and what direction it will go in. My last mock up was the Aoshima LB Walk Lambo with some Aoshima aftermarket wheels. No idea how I’ll build it when the weather is favourable but the tri spoke mags would work. -
Everyone is different and I’m sure I’ll enjoy reading the comments you’ll get. I personally paint my cars body’s like this. All with rattle cans -clean up any mold lines etc with 1000 sanding sticks. -primer with Mr Hobby 1500 finish -a light coat of colour, followed by a medium coat -spray my clear coats -polish with 2000-4000 grits -use Tamiya polishing compounds I will not sand a metallic colour and if I need to sand the colour before clear it’s with 2000 to remove the imperfection. My paint jobs never look like glass but pass for clean scale jobs.
