  1. good news. wonder if they tooled up new parts for it. if there are any surprises in the kit, The Revell USA boxed Audi R8 is also out. gonna have to get both this week
  2. been waiting for this video game for two years and its finally out April 29th. hopefully by the time I have the game beat the Revell 69 Nova will be out.
  3. since about 2005 they've only released 1 new kit a year. and 1-2 reissues. they just reissued the Lamborghini LP500, as well as the retooled Nismo 350Z. They haven't been around too much recently. but there still around. They are putting a lot of money in the RC business right now
  4. The Tamiya kit will be full detail. if that means like how the SLR is (half engine with metal chassis), we will have to wait and see. I'm gonna wait until all the kits are released to see which one I'll get.
  5. Its been very slow for me. not as slow as some people but still very slow. whats funny is that its twice as fast when I on a computer at school then on my home computer. my home computer has a better internet connection.
  6. Its usually easy to sell kits at yard sales if you want to get rid of them. but if you want to make money off them that is'nt the place to do it. people go to garage sales to get bargains. my best garage sale find was a Monogram Ferrari 302 for $5
  7. excellent looking Ferrari,
  8. there will be alot of happy police car modelers out there, I'm still awaiting the Omni GLHS from them
  9. I guess I fit under the "younger" people portion of this forum. and I have never built a lowrider, nor will I ever. I have nothing against them. Its just not what i'm i nto building. I build mostly 60-70 muscle cars. late model tuners, supercars. street/rat/hot Rods, and the occasional truck. I don't like the current direction this board has taken. It seems like there is more bickering and less building. It seems like when someone actually asks a ligitimate model car question it gets lost in posts of people complaining about donks. defending them. or just two people who get into a tiff and have to post 30 different topics on the conversation. lets just forget about all this and get back to discussions about models cars please. Okay rant over
  10. I agree Billy. the Revell 06 Mustang is a great kit. and it still sells well three years after its release. I don't think we'll see it under it current body style since a restyled Mustang comes out next year.
  11. I got Revell's Subaru WRX STi. nice kit, Revell decided in there infinite wisdom to convert it to an STi. but its missing the Brembo brakes (there are decals, but there brakes are not accurate) and the bigger intercooloer
  12. I didn't even look, I don't buy paint of them.
  13. My local Micheal's had already reset. they got the JADA kits now. as well as some of current Revell stuff. and only four AMT kits left (one was on clearance) Target is getting new boxes of Revell Hot Wheels snap kits. picked up a Revell 70 WOF Chevelle today with my employee discount for $9 bucks, they also had the 1/32 Fire Truck and 1963 WOF Corvette Convertible
  14. noticed this kit on Ebay. this was supposed to be retool of the 1:24 scale kit. but according to the box art it says 1:25. unless it an all new kit or they retooled the snap kit to a full detail glue kit. looks like Revell made a very minor mistake,
  15. What I do is get a very thin sheet of sheet styrene. cut it to the width and shape it like the roof on the Bug. Model Master makes a paint that simulates a viynl top. its a two part system and work great. paint the sheet like that then use glue to secure it. to the roof. In rarely ever give my builds headlines. most of the time I forget them, or don't care about doing them since you can't see them.
  16. My names Terry, age 23, currently single, no kids (I think?), from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Full time college student (Architectural Computer Aided Drafting major). planning on graduating (finally) in July 2009. work part time in a big box store. started building at the tender age of 7, first build was a 1:32 Bronco. built most of the 1:32 snap Hot wheels kits from that era. first 1:25 scale snap was a Revell Snap-tite 1993 Camaro, first glue kit was the Revell 1993 40th anniversary addition Corvette Convertible. which met an untimely death of the roof. I build pretty much anything, little drag racing, no Donks (although I don't dislike them). I build mostly 60-70's mainstreamer versions of Muscle Cars. 80's odd cars, pretty much anything from the 90's, Tuners. NASCAR, Rat Rods, street rods. Super Cars. pickups. imports. some road racing cars. and the occasional big rig. if it catches my fancy I'll build it
  17. thanks for all the input, I think i'm going to go the MCG route with this one
  18. Its nice too see the stock 70 Super Bee kit back, the 1990 issue of this kit was starting to get pretty rare. also nice to see the 49 Ford back.
  19. does any one out there cast and sell a 1965 Non-Z16 SS taillight panel. I'm turning a Revell 65 Chevelle Z16 into a normal SS. I have a 327 and the correct wheel covers. all I need is the tailight panel
  20. I just noticed on the Tower Hobbies website that the Revell 87 Cutlass has been listed as discontinued. but it looked like it was already tooled up from the shots from one of the hobby shows. why would they spend the $$$ to tool something then never release it. I hope that it gets released. its one I was really looking froward too
  21. on another board it was reported that these are on the water and on the way here. any news if that is true.
  22. Tom has sent all of his old customers to Model Roundup, I don't think Tom sold the business. he just shut it down.
  23. with the upcoming "Get Smart" movie it would have been a fantastic time for AMT to reissue the hard to find Sunbeam Tiger kit, but with AMT still currently "For Sale" I highly doubt if we'll see it happen. There is a Sunbeam Tiger in the new movie
  24. at the big bad W store. actually found it in the clearance isle, but it wasn't clearance. funny part is that the Motor Max Pintos which are clearance are still with the normal priced stuff.
  25. picked this die cast up today and I have to say its not bad. its got some of usual diecast issues (big door seems, and heavy plastic), buts its the only time this car has been released in any scale. The interiors a little shallow. but is nicely detailed. exterior wise its not bad. roof racks are way to Cromey, they need to be dulled. The only opened doors are the front driver side and passenger side. the drip rails (if thats what you call them) are a little thick and don't match with the rear doors. and then there's the wood paneling, the real downfall of this die cast. they appear to be water slide decals. but they are not layed down properly. they have bubbles in it at places. and did'nt wrap around the corners tight enough. I tried to use some Micro sol to see if it would help them, but it only cracked them even more. so i'm going to leave them alone. I say this diecast is pretty nice. especially since its only $9.99, and the only, 1979 Chrysler Labaron Town & Country wagon diecast ever produced
