  1. cool stuff. those AutoArt C6R are nice pieces
  2. looks great. I just got some of that same color today for my 41 Chevy project. mine won't be shinny. as its getting a coat of dull coat once it is painted. building it high end rat rod style
  3. just got the new Revell 599 GTB today, and i have to say its nice. I know its the same as the Revell AG kit that was released a few months ago. I don't have the Revell AG kit so I can't tell if anything changed. but i know the Revell AG kit was molded in red. and this one is molded in nice white plastic. I have three issues with this kit. first off the box art is terrible. way too much crome and red. although the box art buildup is nice they should have shot it at a different angle, the next issue is why there is any crome in this kit. there is almost no crome on the 1:1. its not an issue getting the crome off but it would have been nice for everything to be done in white plastic. and finally. my last issue with the kit. are the wheels. there accurately done, albeit a little small. but why they chose these wheels pictured below over these much better looking ones, i'll never know
  4. There are so many great model that I've seen in person and on message boards over the years, it hard to pick a best of list. but these are some of my favorite builds Bob Downie's, Subaru Brat Bill Geary's, 69 Daytona Alex Kustov's, 64 Ferrari GTO 4399 GT Juha Airio's, 78 Chrysler Cordoba Hiroboy's 1:12 Nissan Skyline R32 GTr
  5. No. completely different tool. this ones light years more accurate then the Magnum PI kit.
  6. I was always more of a matchbox guy growing up. 07 was Matchbox's 75th anniversary. here's one of the 75th anniversary cars. there not rare. I know a lot of Hot Wheels people have migrated over to Matchbox now. My favorite Hot Wheels car has been the Dodge Aries wagon. I had one when I was younger. lost it. now I need to find another one. my favorite matchbox was the Mercury Sable wagon. like the Aries wagon I need to find another
  7. Revell 49 Merc. stuck in the planning stages MPC 72 Challenger. finally ordered parts to restore this one MPC 78 Vette. still in planning stages AMT 72 Nova, converting to 73 Olds Omega. long, long term project AMT 67 Shelby GT350. needs more body work done. Johan 73 AMC Javelin. been in planning stages for 3 years now Revell 32 Ford. should get more work done when the 32 sedan kit comes out (easy flathead conversion) AMT 91 Firebird. already made a flat hood for it. debating filling in t-tops I hope to get two done before the end of the year Revell 67 Chevelle, The paints curing on this one as I type Lindberg Dodge Dakota, quicky build I hope to get done for 08, all of the above and Revell 69 Camaro, not sure what kind of yet Tamiya Carrera GT, semi-superdetailed MPC 77 Chevette. fake woodgrain and all. Revell 05 Vette convertible. combining snap kit and glue kit. inspired by Ismael G's build
  8. are these clearcoated? I went to remove the prepainted door handles. enamal thinner did'nt work. so I decided to try lacquer thinner. it worked on the door handles but it started to do something funky to the red plastic. almost like it was painted. where these clearcoated from the factory? and what will remove this?.
  9. awesome work as usual Marc. that Hemi looks quite comfortable in that engine bay
  10. I can't comment on the Mac. but I have Vista and am one of the rare people who love it. You just have to play with the setting until you can get it right.
  11. when will these be available?. there website shows Summer 2007, its pushing winter now also is there any news on the 78 Lebaron wagon
  12. both are welcomed. since its Aoshima. I'm expecting a left hand dash kit soon. they've done it with most of there other kits
  13. finally got a Tamiya Porsche Carrera GT (amazing kit), and a MIB, MPC 79 Mustang Turbo Cobra
  14. looks like another winner from Revell. I'll get one of these this weekend. already have plans for it.
  15. looks great. thats a deffinent buy
  16. usually just one year. I'll take a build to a show that it has'nt been seen at. if its already been on the contest table at that show. then it will not be making a return apearence
  17. If you look outside the GM family. the Revell PT Cruiser might work. it won't be full detail. but it would be alot closer then a Citation.
  18. Thats kits a 78. and 1:24. this one is 1:25. this is a much nicer kit. Revell already has a 1:24 70 Challenger in there regular line. and they just announced a 1:25 70 Challenger kit based of a diecast kit
  19. it would be nice to have an accurate 77 Trans Am kit in 1:25. since they seem to be converting alot of stuff to diecast I hope this one will be done next
  20. amazing build as usual
  21. The Subaru is a 2003-2005 body style. its got a real nice 2.5l Turbo boxer engine.
  22. looks awesome
  23. amazing as usually. mines still collecting dust in the box, still getting parts together to build it.
  24. I see myself buying everything on that list. especially the Cutlass. Regal, Subie, 32 Ford and 69 Nova. already got plans for the Cutlass I know the kit won't be stock. but as long as its got a stock dash. I can take care of the rest
  25. here some more glue kits finally we get the 87 Cutlass. and it will be plastic. I will finally be able to build an 87 Hurst Cutlass. woohoo. and i've been waiting three years for Revell to convert the excellent Subie WRX Diecast to plastic. almost bought the diecast several times. the 68 Mustang, 70 Chellenger are both former diecasts. as well as the 87 Buick, notice it says 1:25 scale. that means its the never issued diecast. which replicates a mainstreamer Buick Regal. not the GNX that the 1:24 kit is. serprised noones mentioned the new Mustangs. 08 GT500 (which was originally a wheels of fire kit. that was canceled, this one will be full detail i'm guessing) and the 07 GT350h. and lastly. the new Audi R8 will be in a Revell USA box. yes. means I won't have to pay $30 for the Revell AG one (although i'm guessing the R8 will be in the $20 range, as well as most of the other kits)
