  1. Thats an awesome deal, but I'm afraid they'll nail you on the shipping
  2. Anyone know how to remove decals that where on some AMT promo's in the early 90's, I want to remove some STX decals from a 94 Ranger promo, but I'm not sure what will get them off.
  3. I'm also 22, so where your all writing your wills, remember, only modelers deserve your old kits.
  4. when I bought my truck in November I bought if off an Aston Martin dealer. while waiting for my paper work to get done, They had a nice black on black 348 Spyder in the showroom, nice car, thought it was a little cheap inside, but a nice car, not as nice as the 07 Vantage I sat in after that
  5. I've gotten into Hot Wheels recently, mostly Matchbox. some NASCAR diecasts if they catch my eye. some have actually gotten to be very valuable, like my 2000 Jimmie Johnson rookie Busch car. which I saw go for almost $500 on EBAY a few weeks ago. not bad for a $19 investment
  6. those look good, did they update the wheels on the pace car?
  7. the Revell 99 Silverado can technically be called a 2002 Silverado, but thats it. wish AMT would update there 95 Ranger to an 07, but i doubt that gonna happen
  8. I just picked up this Johan 1965 Rambler classic promo of EBAY, and other then the A piller, b piller and rear fender its in good shape. now I have the issue of not knowing what to do to it, are there any kits out there that have similer lines to repair the front windshield frame, I may cut the top of, rescribe the doors and make it a rare Rambler 770 Convertible also, its pretty straight but just to be sure, this isn't the plastic that warps is it, I've seen some 64 promo's that are warped.
  9. I looked over this kit at the NNL East, and I have to say, I was'nt going to get one at first, but now I have to get three, owsome looking kit, and all the optional parts are worth the price of the kit alone. nice to see all the options in the kit, thats the only real issue i've had with Revell's other hot rod kits (41 Willys, 32 Fords) is that there are no options in them. it does'nt matter to us posting here since the aftermarket has those kits well covered, but for the weekend builder it makes the kits, wel, boring.
  10. Mine has always been the little details. I'm getting better at paint. my engines are getting better, my interior have always been decent. i've started weathering chassis, but i've always enjoyed the little details, like mud flaps, antenna's, stuff that should be there but most people tend to miss them. I also like electronics, starting to scratchbuild little satelite radio recievers, with PE CD players. also, every model I build has it own correct PA state licence plate, and inspecton stickers (depending upon the age of the vehicle.)
  11. since where all car modelers here, lets find out what we all drive everyday. this is'nt a picture of mine but its identically. my Truck is a 2001 Ranger XL, wiith 50,000 original miles. 2.3 ltr. 4cyl. its a base model, no A/C, no power anything. only factory options are cloth seats, trailer package, and a dealer installed bedliner. its just a nice basic truck. and its a bit of a project truck. since I have plans for it. Mods: JVC MP3/CD player, to replace the terrible AM/FM stock radio lebra Tonneau cover AVS Vent shades Future plans: conversion to edge body style (front bumper and rear bumper) Ranger Thunderbolt grill 6" lift, Alcoa wheels. I SOLD IT, December 2008
  12. i'd buy a few Durango's. and if you have the licencing to do a chrysler products, a Caliber SRT-4 would be nice.
  13. Revell was going to do a Wheels of Fire kit of that but canceled it, shame, I would've bought a few.
  14. is there a better chassis out there for an MPC 67 Toronado. I got a very nicely built up at the NNL East, but the chassis cracked when I was dis mantling's it.
  15. I'm using Firefox version 2.0.0.3, and it has it own spell checker. helped me a million times
  16. I recommend only buying Resin either on EBAY, or in person, the only company that does online selling correctly is the Modelhaus. The longest I've had to wait for an order is 4 weeks, and they only take the money when they get to the order. its usually only takes 3-4 days to get the order after they process it
  17. great, now you have that song stuck in my head , awesome build
  18. does anyone out there produce correct tailights to convert the 69 Chevelle to a Beaumont. I got the MCG set and resin for it but it does'nt include the tailights
  19. try the AMT 67 Mustang. that one should work
  20. awsome build, would be cool if GM would a special edition 1:1 when the 09 Camaro comes out, but unfortanently I don't see it happening, since Yenko Chevrolet no longer exists, and Yenko is now a Honda dealer.
  21. Its a decent kit, AMT, Revell, and Lindberg produced that generation F-150 kits. only the Lindberg kit is a 4X4. which is the one you got, I havent built one but i've seen them built, and I havent heard anything wrong with them, only issue i've heard is that there is no window seal detail above the doors, thats the only problem I know of
  22. awsome build, but IIRC, he missed the Brickyard that year in that car did'nt he?
  23. thanks for all the info
  24. does anyone know any kits that have a 307 V8, I'm building a 1970 Camaro RS mainstreamer, I was gonna put in an inline 6 until I read that only 12,000 1970 Camaro's came with six's, while 112,000 came with V8, so making it a six would actually make it a rare car.
