2 years after we first saw the C7 Corvette we finally get our first kit of one. This kit comes in the new smaller boxes we saw the 15 Mustang snap kit come in, but this kit is not as basic as that one. it comes with a multi piece interior. as well as nicely detailed headlights and taillights. there is no chrome in the kit. Revell nailed the "satin" finish wheels that the new Corvette has. The chassis is one piece. but is nicely detailed that some basic painting should make it look great.

the Tamiya Gazoo racing TRD GT86 kit has an excellent set of modern steel wheels it, but I doubt if you would want too spend $60 on a parts kit

Kit is out, picked up the stock version today for $36 at the LHS

Don't think anyone has mentioned it yet but I'd really like a lhd dash for the Tamiya Isuzu Vehicross

Doesn't this kit have an inaccurate body, too short iirc

There is a small difference in the mounts for the i6 and the v8. But any modeler should have problem changing them, just required drilling a hole in the frame. Everything else is a direct swap. The side trim can be easily shortened to fit the short bed. The interiors are also a direct swap

Several sites are listing it as "in stock". So check your LHS it may be out

I feel really lucky, I have two great hobby shops very close to me, and both are doing really well, ones been open since the 40's, and the other is in a very busy shopping center and is always full of shoppers We did lose a local hobby shops about a year ago, but that was because of bad management, not lack of business

Being realistic, tooling i know still exists AMT Subaru Brat, only issued once, never reissued as something else MPC 70 Bonneville, last reissued 10 years ago by Model King MPC/AMT 83 Chevy 4x4, last seen about 10 years ago, and those issues go for big bucks, shouldve bought more MPC/AMT 72 GMC step side, last seen about 20 years ago, MPC Pinto wagon, last seen around 80 as the Pony Express kit

Really happy too that we are getting a NASCAR Gen 6 kit. no big deal to me that it's a snap. Aftermarket should be offering some good decals, and it's the right scale 1/24 No surprise too see the 17 Raptor. Nice too see the Olds Pace Car kit. The first issue from about 6 years ago was quickly discontinued.

Is the Model King version due at the same time. I want to use the straight six out of the model king version in the long bed, and turn the short bed version into a "gas monkey" style rat rod truck

Just like last year, Revell is having a make at take at the Detroit Auto Show, and this year its the all new 2016 Raptor. Revell has pictures on thier Twitter page, it looks good, no chassis detail like the 2015 Mustang. Revell still has the 2014 Raptor kit coming out, its due in March, It will be nice to have both body styles on my shelf

Can this kit be built stock? I remember there were two different kits of this body style Mustang released about 10 years ago, one could be built stock, the other could not

Can't wait for the i8 and the 918. Wouldn't surprise me too see both in a Revell usa box
