  1. The only part that's painted on the Keselowski kit is the blue, everything else is bare plastic, letting it sit overnight in 91% alcohol stripped it clean
  2. I picked one up today, no pics, but very similar to AMTs COT kit. Nice too see Revell made it in the correct scale. 1/24. Detail is good but still very simplified. Thinking I might do a Cole Whitts KFC ride, haven't done a stock car in 10 years
  3. I will pay extra for the kit if they get rid of those
  4. MPC 1970 Bonneville 1975 Corvette Convertible 1984 GMC pickup AMT 1929 Ford Model A 1965 Pontiac Grand Prix Beetle Bus Show Rod 1967 Impala SS American Lefrance Fire Truck George Barris Surf Woody
  5. Surprised that Revell USA is issuing the Porsche 918. I would've not bought the Revell AG version if I knew that. Odds are the USA version will be molded in white. Great too see that the GT is the 2017 version. If it's like there C7 Corvette snap kit then I will be happy. The ZL1 and 2014 Mustangs are not listed as pre-paints. So I'm assuming they will be molded in white and not painted
  6. Tower hobbies has some new Revell kits listed 1967 Nickey Camaro 1966 Chevy Fleetside 1/24 snap Ford GT
  7. II picked this kit up today, and I think it looks ok. I'm no Torino expert but to my eye it looks ok. looks like it would be nice quick build. Doing some research this appears to a mix of the movie and TV show car. The Movie car had a heavily modified engine similer to the kit, but the Movie car had a bench seat. The TV show car had a bench like the kit
  8. The New Revell Starsky and Hutch Torino is molded in Red. that's REALLY disappointing.
  9. Took the full 12 weeks to get my last order. But I made the order right after there son passed so I knew it would take longer
  10. Should be good, happy they are on Amazon, no advertising from the auto makers means they can give Honest reviews. Not surprised they went with an American company. Gives Clarkson free speech to say whatever stupid thing he wants too say
  11. 2 years after we first saw the C7 Corvette we finally get our first kit of one. This kit comes in the new smaller boxes we saw the 15 Mustang snap kit come in, but this kit is not as basic as that one. it comes with a multi piece interior. as well as nicely detailed headlights and taillights. there is no chrome in the kit. Revell nailed the "satin" finish wheels that the new Corvette has. The chassis is one piece. but is nicely detailed that some basic painting should make it look great.
  12. the Tamiya Gazoo racing TRD GT86 kit has an excellent set of modern steel wheels it, but I doubt if you would want too spend $60 on a parts kit
  13. Kit is out, picked up the stock version today for $36 at the LHS
  14. Don't think anyone has mentioned it yet but I'd really like a lhd dash for the Tamiya Isuzu Vehicross
  15. Doesn't this kit have an inaccurate body, too short iirc
  16. There is a small difference in the mounts for the i6 and the v8. But any modeler should have problem changing them, just required drilling a hole in the frame. Everything else is a direct swap. The side trim can be easily shortened to fit the short bed. The interiors are also a direct swap
  17. Several sites are listing it as "in stock". So check your LHS it may be out
  18. The f100 wasn't done in a week, I've read it took 3-4 months
  19. Eldorod or the F100, nothing else interests me
  20. Modelhaus makes a swamp cooler
  21. Word from LHS, end of next week
  22. I feel really lucky, I have two great hobby shops very close to me, and both are doing really well, ones been open since the 40's, and the other is in a very busy shopping center and is always full of shoppers We did lose a local hobby shops about a year ago, but that was because of bad management, not lack of business
  23. Being realistic, tooling i know still exists AMT Subaru Brat, only issued once, never reissued as something else MPC 70 Bonneville, last reissued 10 years ago by Model King MPC/AMT 83 Chevy 4x4, last seen about 10 years ago, and those issues go for big bucks, shouldve bought more MPC/AMT 72 GMC step side, last seen about 20 years ago, MPC Pinto wagon, last seen around 80 as the Pony Express kit
