  1. Very nice build Randy! The color combo is superb and the details on the big block engine are top notch. Well done sir!!!
  2. Thanks Daniel, The lack of resources doesn't mean we can't be resourceful in our manner to reach our goal. Glad you can find something useful with that trick! Take care, Francis
  3. Glad you like the trick and the fact that you could have to a try it on your builds Tim! I must work with what I have as tooling so sometime I have no choice and be imaginative to reach my goal... The sad part is the fact that these splines will be hidden (as for many details) on the final build... Fortunately the pics will still be in the thread to prove they are there and how they were done! Take care, Francis
  4. You say I'm still interested Tim! Your carburetor setup is taking shape nicely and your attention to details is out of the ordinary sir. I will have to take a try at this Renshape material one day or another... seem very useful! By the way, glad to see that the bantam is now the trademark in your new profile picture, this amazing build deserve it's new function!
  5. Great job on this new project Steve! I do love the color you have chosen, definitively a Pontiac color and it's great looking on this big body car! Very good job on the tail lights, these Molotow pencils are very useful for this kind of detailing!
  6. This car in taking shape amazingly well and the interior is top notch! That's smell good for the next model car show Roger!!!
  7. Nice and interesting project Keith! This is a very cool build and you can't go wrong with this little Dodge painted in Go-Mango!
  8. Very good and accurate rendition of the real car Tim! A great era for the NASCAR with all these superb «looking like the OEM» body style cars! Well done sir!!!
  9. Very nice and clean build Kevin! I also have this Pro Street Nova kit (unmade) in my modest collection and I would call it a «no brainer» with nice options and always a beautiful and attractive subject at any model car show. Well done!!!
  10. I also used the technique on an older build and it worked perfectly. I bought mine on eBay and they were sold for radio controlled cars. Thanks for sharing Tom!
  11. You made a fantastic job with the brass hood and the hinge Alex! I do appreciate your honest and impartial comments about the resin overall quality of that Air-Trax kit and pics tell all! I tried a couple of times working with resin kits but it end-up all the time that I spent more time inside the body shell trying to thin walls than working anywhere else on the body so I finally give-up! It's sad because most of the resin subjects are the rarest and most interesting ones! Courage, you made some great progress so far sir!
  12. Very good and convincing weathering job Ryan! It would be hard to make it even closer to the ground! Well done sir!!!
  13. Nice job Kevin! The GTOs were very beautiful and fast cars from the first production year until the end of the muscle cars era and the '68/'69 were the nicest years in my opinion but but like many of us might say tastes are not to be discussed! Well done sir!!!
  14. Good looking Roadrunner Wayne! That color fits like a glove with this beautiful Mopar B-body! Well done sir!!!
  15. Thanks Ludwig! I remembered that it was an AMT kit after asking the question ... thanks anyway for taking the time to clarify! Beside the doors feature, the Revell kit seem superior to its AMT counterpart in the details!?
  16. Thank you for clarifying that this is not a resin kit. I did basically the same thing with my '64 D100 Dodge pickup and it comforts me to know that I'm not the only one who's obsessed enough to recreate a nonexistent truck cab with styrene. That L700 Dodge cabin looks spot-on, I love it and thanks for sharing!!!
  17. Thanks for the kind words Mike! I may not always work in a conventional way to make my pieces but the goal is to achieve its ends and find satisfaction! In all modesty, I am very proud if my work can inspire a model maker of your caliber. Take care, Francis
  18. Very cool project Tom! I do love these old Dodge and this resin kit looks very well detailed. The engine is very well done and I can't wait to see your next update!
  19. Good job so far Lee! Are the dash instrument gauges details done with waterslide decals supplied with the kit or aftermarket ones? They seem very beautiful even if the photo is taken from afar!
  20. Leave it like this Ray It's really nice! Every time I have stripped the paint on one of my model, (using Easy-Off oven cleaner) the putty stipped off too and I had to start over. Maybe someone knows a miracle product that can only remove the paint?
  21. FANTASTIC build Brian! I do love everything you have done so far and the red engine looks so good between those light blue frame rails! You will make me want to start building big trucks again...
  22. Nice project Craig! This is a very beautiful Camaro body style and the hood scoop you planned to make looks very good... very Chevy I would say! Good job on the front valance by the way!
  23. Nice project Rex, not a lot of this Mustang body style around! You do have a well garnished engine parts bin sir... hope you will find what you looking for, a 351 Cleveland would be nice under the hood! Good job on the body stripes by the way!
  24. Good call, I love it already! Very cool project Anton, I do love HEMIs and Cudas so it's pleasant to see one build away from its country of origin... the love for cars doesn't have frontiers! The expected stance is top notch by the way!
  25. First, I want to welcome on board sir! Even with a busy workbench you can build model (mine is also cluttered) and it seem that you have most of the necessary tooling. The age is not a problem either as long you find the pleasure and satisfaction in the process! The '58 Chevy Impala is a very cool car so I'll be thrilled to come back to check your progress!
