  1. Thanks Brian, I'll definitely have a thought for you when the time comes to put some color on this thing! I still have a long way to go though... ? Take care, Francis
  2. Nice stuff Dan, great details to complete your amazing build! Where did you find them?
  3. Great paint job Brian this black looks fantastic and still wet... everything you have done so far is top notch sir! ?
  4. Your paint job is awesome Jim (as usual...) and that red is simply amazing! I have the exact same polishing technique as yours, the only difference in my case is the brand of wax I use and which probably doesn't make much of a difference I think... Excellent job sir, candy for the eyes!!!
  5. Your hard work has paid off Roger, the pickup is clean and tastefully built, the kind of project that could have been done by The Gas Monkey Garage! Well done sir!!! ?
  6. This is a pure beauty Mikhail, you are truly an extraordinary builder! One of the cleanest build I ever seen, the color choice is absolutely fantastic, eye candy from bumper to bumper! You have proven that with patience (and talent ...) there is a hidden gem in every kit! Well done sir!!!
  7. I don't see why you wouldn't be allowed to post links to your videos on Youtube, many members already have links for capsules on this platform. As long as your topics are scale models, they are relevant and agree with the essence of this forum... I think!
  8. Welcome on board Csaba! The Torino looks awesome, please share more of your models when you can. I am also a big fan of scratchbuilding so I can't wait to see more of your current and past subjects...
  9. Thanks for the info guys! Superb work done on the grille (both options), it will add the little extra that we are looking for so that the finished model looks like the real one!
  10. Santa Claus came by yesterday and he left this on my doorstep! It is complete, no missing parts, waterslide decal and photo etched in the box. I didn't realize when I ordered it that the engine was not part of the "full resin kit" as stated so I ordered it yesterday along with the Detailled Suspension. I must say that's a very beautiful kit but not for every budget... In the end, with the shipping costs and the exchange rate, it will have cost me the tidy sum of $300.00 Canadian dollars... I'm not sure it's reasonable anymore... Maybe it will retain its value if it becomes a short-run offer? Time will tell... ?
  11. Beautiful shiny yellow Brian and I know how you have a good taste for the choice of color among others... ?
  12. Looks like a real candy! Sad to go dirty such a beautiful painting in the mud...
  13. Cool project Dan! Is it a 3D printed front grille? If so, is the finish nice? I know that the quality varies tremendously on the offer from different vendors in the market.
  14. Thanks to be so kind Randy! If I could have half of your talent and skill I could consider myself as an accomplished builder. Your builds make me think twice... miracle maker!!! Take care, Francis
  15. Thanks for the kind comments Lorne! I really think I still have a lot to learn from the masters here on this forum, but I believe in the principle of "trying to improve every time" and learning from my mistakes. Believe me your builds are very inspiring too my friend and your current Chevy pickup project is just fantastic. Take care, Francis
  16. Randy, every piece you make is a model in itself! How could high precision enthusiasts not be drawn like magnets to your projects? I guarantee you that I am... and I have a lot to learn from you sir! Thank you for teaching us magic!!!
  17. Thanks for the comments Tim! Nothing close to your incredible carburetors here but I will try to improve on what I have made before. Isn't that the goal to achieve when you like things well done? By the way, you're right, good old carburetors are hard to beat!!! Take care, Francis
  18. Thanks for the kind words Jim! I still need some practice to achieve the level of craftsmanship of some of the incredible machinists on the forum... The goal is to find satisfaction in what we do and I am still at this stage fortunately! Take care, Francis
  19. Thank you for your mark of confidence Claude! I can easily return the comment to you my friend! Take care, Francis
  20. Well Tim, it's hard to put the right words or comments for this kind of masterpiece... You invested an incredible amount of time and effort in these parts and the photos speak for themselves! I don't know why but "Candy" comes to mind...
  21. How to recreate a classic and make it even better? Simply follow this thread photo by photo, it's the recipe for success! Tasteful build my friend, I love that candy red!!!
  22. This is OUT OF THIS WORLD Randy! Can I suggest you a new profile username sir? CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!!!
  23. Thanks Pat, I'm always happy to have you on my thread, I hope to show you more progress on this thing soon! Take care, Francis
  24. Thanks Claude! I will need all of my smallest tooling of course! This bad boy will need a lot of gas at full throttle so it will need a big carburetor... I have taken my information and measurements from Holley's website and will attempt to make a 1475 CFM Gen 3 ultra Domonator. I don't intend to reproduce every nook and cranny but something convincing enough to deserve to be enthroned in the foreground of the engine compartment... I hope to not dissapoint you my friend! ? Take care, Francis
  25. WOW Steve! This is another unusual (and to say the least ...) body for drag racing! I wouldn't want for all the gold in the world to be sitting in the driver seat at 150mph (or more) after the quarter mile, certainly not easy to hold it between the two lines of the track! It is cool and close to the ground... well done again my friend!!! ?
