  1. Nice to see you back Roger! The body is beautiful with the added decals! Good job!!!
  2. Superb job Steve! The front grille and the tail lights section are beautiful. The '68 Beaumont is such a nice car, can't wait to see all the body details completed. Well done sir!!!
  3. Glad to see you back on the Maverick Joe! The shifter looks nice on the transmission tunnel and the interior is heading in the right direction my friend!!!
  4. Fantastic build sir! Very clean and good choice of colors too. To be confused with the real thing... you can be proud of!!!
  5. What a nice surprise and honor to get your comments on my build sir! Your name and your reputation in this hobby are well established and it is an honor to have your visit on my current project. I have read so much praise for your incredible skills and achievements on Tim's threads and I must say that you are a landmark in this fantastic hobby! Thanks again and come back anytime, Take care, Francis
  6. Thank you so much for the kind comments John! You put me in a team with a h**l of a good machinist and I don't know if I deserve such treatment but I accept it with great humility... especially comming from you sir... I hope to not disappoint in the long run! Take care, Francis
  7. Nice and cool tribute builds Tom! I recall taking a ride with something pretty similar ('65 Ford Econoline) with one of my uncles in the mid '70 and it was a very strange feeling to drive so close of the windshield. Cool trucks however!
  8. Thanks for the kind comments Dick! I must confess that machining and finding the way to make these parts is my favorite part of the hobby. Still a lot of parts to make... I still have a full time job so I hope to be more productive and fast to deliver my builds when I will be retired... More updates to come! Take care, Francis
  9. Cool project you have! It seem that you will have a very expensive build on the bench sir! So much cool stuff are available these days and the newest 3D technologie just add more offering and spending opportunities! Hard to resist for the big boys with child hearts!
  10. I'm glad to see that this "donor" kit will have a second life Craig! Pro-Touring is hot these days and I'm more than happy to see this Camaro body style receive this kind of update!
  11. You are already welcome to the forum Gary! You are an inspiration by the quality of your builds and gorgeous paint job sir! Thanks for sharing.
  12. Welcome on board Glenn! Sorry to know about your health problem, but I hope you find a lot of inspiration and good vibes here! I share the same passion as you for drag racing cars so I hope you will share some pictures of your next build!
  13. Welcome to the forum Robert! Model car building it’s like riding a bicycle, you never completely forget how to do it even after a long time without practicing... happy building sir!
  14. Welcome to the forum George! You will certainly find some inspiration and good advice from the kind members of this playground!
  15. Nice touch Pat! What I like the most about semi truck engines is the overall details of the molded kit parts in comparison with the ones one the same scale cars kits. I may be wrong on this statement, but I think you are the right guy to agree or disagree... ?
  16. That's HUUUUUUUGE!!! It's certainly not a cheap project but surely interesting and out of the ordinary! You still have a lot of fun in front of you but everything looks very well done so far sir!
  17. I do love what you're doing sir! A real feast for the eyes and a good therapy for the well built and highly detailed models lovers... Another masterful build in the making!!!
  18. Thanks Mike! It could also sound redundant but I'm very proud to keep you smiling sir! This is the kind of part that I really love to make and I dare say that's one of my best effort on a drive shaft so far. Working with brass is quite new to me and I like the fact that this material can be welded, it opens up new possibilities for me, without forgetting the nice color contrast that you mentioned. Glad you noticed the rounded edges, I still have to fight against my bad habits... but it's starting to make its way... lol. Take care, Francis
  19. Thanks for the kind words Glenn, I really appreciate! Take care, Francis
  20. Thanks for the kind comment Ray, I really appreciate it! Take care, Francis Thanks Jim! I am very touched by your assertion and I accept it with a lot of humility coming from a model maker of your caliber! Take care, Francis
  21. LOL... But it is always a good idea to machine the top of the engine block perfectly flat in order to have a good seal! Don't forget to do the same treatment on the head(s). ?
  22. Nice job Rick and welcome back to the hobby if I can put it that way! Did you make the purple pinstripes by your own or if they were part of the decal kit?
  23. I will be there to help you when you are ready my friend... if you need me of course! ?
  24. Very nice engine block Pat! You must be a specialist in that area... It's a cool project and I agree with James about your new work bench!!! By the way, I cannot leave without mentioning how I find that the members of this forum are competent and knowledgeable (including you of course)... very impressive!
  25. Thanks Scott! That big dime is very helpful... lol Take care, Francis Thanks Joe! It would be hard for me not to admit that producing these pieces is my favorite part of this hobby!
