  1. My favorite color on a drag racing car... the recipe for success! I love the decals too, another great build... be prepared for many more praises my friend! I will have to take a try with that aluminum flashing...
  2. Glad you decided to picture your models Daniel, a real treat for the eyes, the engine and body are fantastic! I knew aluminum flashing was a good material for body panels (I never tried it though) but your photos speak for themselves... Well done again my friend!!!
  3. Well Daniel I must say that "a bag of glue-bombed, broken parts for a buck" has never looks better than this my friend! Furthermore it got a HEMI so how could I not love it...?
  4. That's AWESOME Claude!!! But I must say that I'm not so surprised since you're such a good and brilliant builder! Your background as a 1: 1 car builder is really revealed here with the added freedom (I would say) that model building can offer. Boyd Coddington would be proud of you my friend... at least I am... can't wait to see that beauty it in person... I love it!!!
  5. SUPERB job Daniel, I really like it!!! Nice attention to detail from bumper to bumper, the work done on the engine is very convincing and I love the headers tubes, very different from the traditional ones. You can be proud of it my friend!!!
  6. Superb job Roger, I really love it! All the hard work paid off and the finished model looks great and very convincing, the stance is absolutely perfect! I have almost all those old pro stock kits from the 70s in my collection but not the '72 Duster... I am jealous... Well done sir you can be proud of it!!!
  7. Superb fabrication Sergey! Your attention to details is really out of the ordinary and your truly a master builder! I can't wait to see your next updates. Well done sir!!!
  8. Sorry to be late on your current WIP, but I have to say that so far everything looks great and well crafted Jim! You're truly a good builder and you have good taste my friend! I really like the work you have done on the pneumatic suspension, it's a very good idea and it is simply perfect for this build! Great fabrication sir!!!
  9. Thanks for your kind and encouraging words Glenn! There is no denying it, there is something for everyone in this hobby and you prove it to me with your appreciation for the steering wheel... it was without a doubt the easiest part to make of all this project! As they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder! I try to push myself a little harder with each new build so even if it's a more complex project, I will try to improve many aspects of my build with my Dodge D100 pickup so I hope you'll like it too... Take care, Francis
  10. Welcome to the Roman forum! It's always nice to see what others are building on the old continent, this place cuts the distance between us and that's a very good thing!
  11. Welcome to the Timothy Forum! Your model looks great and I am also a huge fan of drag racing vehicles, you will no doubt find something to chew on and lots of inspiration here!
  12. Superb job Jim, you brought the "out of the box" to another level with your outstanding paint skills! Clean build from bumper to bumper... no bumper...!?! Perfect throughout!!! Thanks for sharing your amazing painting techniques sir!
  13. Superb Chevelle Jared! Very clean and convincing build and I do love the bigger tires and the stance. Well done sir!!!
  14. Very nice Jason charger! I was wondering about the accuracy of this kit but am very impressed with what I see of your build. I do have a couple of the original MPC kit but I would not hesitate to build this one instead since it looks so well detailed. You can be proud of it sir!!!
  15. Very nice job Pat, the International looks like the real deal and very convincing, subtle details like dirt on the tires add to the realism! You can be proud of it my friend!!!
  16. Thanks Keven, I am very honored to see that my GTX has this effect on you! You are more than welcome. Take care, Francis
  17. FANTASTIC work Charles, looks like a 1:1 car! I noticed that many parts including the water pump housing, alternator bracket and the power steering support were made with brass in the previous photo but now look like aluminum. Have you redone them with aluminum or just painted or plated them, I'm just curious?
  18. Thanks again Keith, your comments mean a lot to me! I am also a big fan of rock music, but I never raced while listening to music... I think it's a shame to cover the sound of a good big American V8 because it produces the most beautiful music! Take care, Francis Thanks for the vote of confidence Claude! However, I will try to limit the detailing to parts a little bit bigger than my smallest end mills but functional dome light door jamb switches would be cool by the way... LOL. Can't wait to see you my friend, take care, Francis
  19. Thanks for the kind words Keith! Functional radio buttons would be a good idea, but I planned a radio delete plate instead, it's a drag racing machine after all...LOL. Thank you for stopping by and for commenting, I really appreciate it! Take care, Francis
  20. Thanks Keven! I'm not done yet with this build so your demand will be fulfilled... but maybe not at the pace you might want... things running slow during summer. Still some updates to come however. Take care, Francis
  21. Thanks for the kind words Keven, it was really fun to build and I'm glad to see that you like it! Take care, Francis
  22. Thanks for the kind words Bob! I find a lot of inspiration everywhere on this forum and Tim's work is no exception of course. This construction always brings me a little further in the details and I don't think I could build differently in the future! I'll see, it's not over yet... Take care, Francis
  23. Very cool and clean construction Donn, the paint job looks smooth like glass! It's amazing how these old funny cars were built by today's standards. My favorite era of drag racing!
  24. This is absolutely FANTASTIC Randy! You probably have the best ability to make model parts so real! I will certainly follow your build, it's just a great way to keep me fully motivated... I love your work sir!!!
  25. If you dropped out with the decals, I'm 100% sure they were unusable, you're not one to quit easily... and I know what I'm talking about... Nice job so far Pat!
