Kits World "3D" Printed Harness Decals
Mattilacken replied to Mattilacken's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
So after a test I must say that these look good! They do feel like a plastic belt and with the printed relief you can both feel and see the height differences between the belt and "metall" parts. I must say that they look good and they are super quick to install, quicker than normal water slide decals. And compared to PE and belt material it’s hours faster! And for most build I would definitely use these. They are a bit pricey but if I would think as I do at work, time is money. And especially if you have a problem with your eyes and want a upgrade on water slide i must say that this is perfect! -
3rd gen Camaro
Mattilacken replied to MarkJ's topic in WIP: Other Racing: Road Racing, Land Speed Racers
That surface primer does the difference, I use Tamiya alloy and if I don’t have primer it feels that the styrene is to slippery to paint on to with a thin layer. I have tried that primer but not with any good results, wanted to see if I could replace Tamiya primer with it but as you say it’s not the same. -

Nice work on those handels! If i remember correctly you are brush painting the body as well? Looks like a good start on it. -
After another pass with the finishing compound and a layer of wax afterwards the paint look 9/10 in my opinion.

Nice! I am a huge Grand Cherokee fan and have had 8 in total. Mostly second gen, and come to think of it, first gen is the only one I haven’t owned (except for the 5 that I can’t afford and don’t want). I also have this kit.. but it’s kind of chopped up 😉 will follow!!

Thanks mate!! Hehe yes it’s a cool addition;-) made some work on the paintjob, not as perfect as my red Porsche but it’s black so I think I am ok with it. Ran out of polish so I have to order more to get a better result. I could not resist so I started to put the mesh in.

As stichdup there is plenty, and any one with a printer can help out i guess since its just to scale the 1/24 item to 1/16. I have done so for my Revell 1/16 Bajja fever pickup soon everything is printed for it I have a beautifull LS with carb for it with a T56 manual. Were are you located? In US, Iceman can hook you up or texas customs or what they are named. In UK there must be several, in EU you have Ghostman here on the forum that print and sell, I have also sold some parts but i dont have the capacity. -
I am trying to thicken a mercedes 300 aka Red Pig in blender. I have seen several So I have been trying to look at various ways to fix it but I have no success. I have tried using solidify but that command gives me 0 control in what direction I ad the material so it extends the material outwards as well as inwards. Which makes it useless. I have managed to open the file in Fusion and make it to a model but most parts are just one surface and not solid and when extending them my computer, even though it is a cad PC, Boggs down and won’t execute for hours. How do you guys do the thickening? I saw your post Mr obsessive and get the principe but it seems in efficient on a roof or such.

2025 Cannonball Run - 50 years since the 1975 run.

I got an other stupid ide.. a Diesel engine would have better MPG than the Hemi.. But who had diesels in 1975? Mercedes did.. whtat cool mercedes was availible.. Well the 300SEL is a nice car and can look cool as hell.. And AMG was not official Mercedes back then so its plausible that they threw a 5cyl diesel engine with turbo and an intercooler would also be an option. They where available and some trucks seems to have hade them even thogh Mercedes launced their first Turbo Intercooler in 1978, but testing must have started years before am I right. Especialy with Porsche launching their Turbo Intercooler car for the street in 1977. And porsche seems to have had Turbo and intercooler on the 911 RSR, correct me if i am wrong, in 1974. So.. a Mercedes 300SL 3.0L Diesel Turbo intercooler concept by AMG.. whats your thoughts on that Talk about an epic long distance car for the CBR in 1975! -

I have gotten the Cuda in a dark gray base coat so I can spray some blue on that. I’m idea is to paint it dark blue like the Gurney Cudas from ’70. The engine is also taking shape. If I forgot to mention but the engine is a revell piece from some much newer kit than the Cuda. -
Who manufacturers these kits in US or UK???
Mattilacken replied to Stanward VonDiederichs's topic in Wanted!
These are available on Tradera.com to buy. Files are probably available to buy some where. Its a forum member that sells them. And the tires in the last pic is my design 😉
